As an important coagulation factor, activated coagulation factor VII (FVIIa) is mainly used to treat the bleeding of hemophilia patients who have developed inhibitory antibodies against FVIII and FIX conventional treatment. Recombinant human factor VII (rhFVII) produced in mammalian cell lines have been developed as the most important resource of FVIIa. However, cell lines express rhFVII protein derived from an exogenous expression vector at a lower level than most other proteins.

A reduction in MSTN gene expression can enhance muscle mass and increase meat production. However, whether it will impact meat quality traits remains one of the major concerns in the cattle breeding industry.

DNMT1 is a DNA methyltransferase whose main function is to maintain stable DNA methylation during the DNA replication process. DNMT1 also plays an important role in AML, but its function in cytokine-induced memory-like natural killer (CIML NK) cell activity remains unclear.

Objective: To investigate effect of preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A) on the reproductive outcomes of women of advanced maternal age (AMA) (≥38 years), and to analyze factors influencing the live birth rate in AMA women who have received PGT-A.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted. AMA women undergoing PGT-A were enrolled in the PGT-A group.
Aims: Maternal hyperglycemia is linked to adverse neonatal outcomes. However, current evidence was insufficient for mechanistic pathways. We aim to use two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the causal association and mediation pathways.

People often exhibit intertemporal impatience by choosing immediate small over delayed larger rewards, which has been implicated across maladaptive behaviours and mental health symptoms. In this preregistered study, we tested the role of an intertemporal Pavlovian bias as possible psychological mechanism driving the temptation posed by immediate rewards. Concretely, we hypothesized that the anticipation of immediate rewards (compared with preference-matched delayed rewards) enhances goal-directed approach behaviour but interferes with goal-directed inhibition.

Methods: This study included 349 085 white British individuals from the UK Biobank study. Genetic risk of high BP was estimated using a weighted polygenic risk score that incorporated 136 and 135 nonoverlapping single-nucleotide polymorphisms for systolic BP and diastolic BP, respectively.

Background: Previous conventional epidemiological studies found a J-shape relationship between alcohol consumption and dementia, but this result was subject to confounding biases and reverse causation. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the potential linear or non-linear causal association between alcohol consumption and the incident risk of dementia in current drinkers.
Methods: This study used data from the UK Biobank to investigate the relationship between alcohol consumption and dementia risk.

Objective: This observational study compared children with and without binge eating (BE) on biobehavioral measures of reward responsiveness, inhibitory control, and emotion processes, while accounting for the impact of weight.
Method: Children aged 9 to 10 years completed the baseline wave of the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study (316 with BE; 7,681 without BE [no-BE]). The prevalence of binge-eating disorder in the BE group was 17.
Purpose: Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (CIR) injury is a devastating consequence of stroke characterized by oxidative stress-induced neuronal damage. Electroacupuncture (EA) has emerged as a potential therapeutic intervention for ischemic stroke, but its underlying mechanisms remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to elucidate whether EA exerts anti-oxidative stress effects against CIR injury by modulating the GSK-3β/Nrf2 pathway.

In order to understand the status of aflatoxin contamination in dried chilli products in Gansu Province and the risk of dietary exposure, a total of 106 samples of dried chilli products from farmers' markets and supermarkets in 14 prefecture-cities of Gansu Province were collected and analysed by isotope dilution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The results showed that the detection rate of aflatoxin in dried chilli products in Gansu Province was 30.2%, and the average level was 1.

The hippocampus is crucial for food intake regulation and is vulnerable to the effects of obesity. The purpose of the study was to investigate whether GDM exposure affects hippocampal functional connectivity during exposure to food cues using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

Patients And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 305 participants recruited from a tertiary care hospital in Anhui, China. Adherence was analyzed using the Test of Adherence to Inhalers.
In real-world applications involving multi-class ordinal discrimination, a common approach is to aggregate multiple predictive variables into a linear combination, aiming to develop a classifier with high prediction accuracy. Assessment of such multi-class classifiers often utilizes the hypervolume under ROC manifolds (HUM). When dealing with a substantial pool of potential predictors and achieving optimal HUM, it becomes imperative to conduct appropriate statistical inference.

We aim to investigate whether the application efficacy of Asian screening array (ASA) in PGT-M preclinical workup for the Chinese population is superior to NGS based single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) panels.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis by reviewing 294 couples from a single center over the past 4 years and compared the detection results between NGS-based SNP panels and ASA.
Objective: To assess the effect and mechanism of Sanhua Tang (, SHT) in treating ischemic stroke (IS) through the "Kaitong Xuanfu" theory by using network pharmacology and animal experiments.
Methods: The active ingredients and targets of SHT and IS were screened by public databases such as Traditional Chinese Medicine systems pharmacology, GeneCards, and online mendelian inheritance in man. Visual network topographies were constructed using R, Cytoscape 3.
Liver injury is closely related to poor outcomes in sepsis patients. Current studies indicate that sepsis is accompanied by metabolic disorders, especially those related to lipid metabolism. It is highly important to explore the mechanism of abnormal liver lipid metabolism during sepsis.
