Methyl jasmonate (MeJA), a lipid-derived signaling molecule widely reported as a plant growth regulator, was revealed in this study to coordinate oxidative stress adaptation and delay senescence in potato through metabolite-microbe interactions, ultimately improving yield. MeJA triggered leaf oxidative stress while integrating rapid enzymatic scavenging, sustained osmoprotectant accumulation, and membrane stabilization, effectively delaying senescence initiation. Metabolic reprogramming under MeJA suppressed endogenous jasmonic acid synthesis while promoting saturated fatty acid biosynthesis, altering leaf surface lipid composition.

Background And Purpose: We previously showed that the iridoid glycoside extract of Lamiophlomis rotata (IGLR) induces M2 macrophage polarisation to accelerate wound healing. The potentially active compounds (quality markers) in IGLR that accelerate wound healing have not been elucidated; we here identified quality markers that accelerate wound healing.

Experimental Approach: After IGLR gavage of dorsal excisional wound mice and normal mice for 7 days, the tissues were analysed using the matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation (MALDI) mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) method and were further validated by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) coupled with multivariate analyses to identify quality markers.

Recent advances in spatial transcriptomics (ST) technologies have transformed our ability to profile gene expression while retaining the crucial spatial context within tissues. However, existing ST platforms suffer from high costs, long turnaround times, low resolution, limited gene coverage, and small tissue capture areas, which hinder their broad applications. Here we present iSCALE, a method that predicts super-resolution gene expression and automatically annotates cellular-level tissue architecture for large-sized tissues that exceed the capture areas of standard ST platforms.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a significant epigenetic driver in the development of epithelial-origin nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and gastric cancer (GC), which together represent 80% of EBV-associated malignancies. Despite its known association, the specific mechanisms, particularly those involving EBV-induced histone modifications, remain poorly understood. Through integrative analyses of single-cell and bulk transcriptome data from epithelial tumor tissues and EBV-infected cells, we identified KDM5B as a critical histone-modifying factor consistently upregulated following EBV infection.
