Article Synopsis
  • The concept of rule-governed behavior (RGB) is analyzed in terms of complex human actions like thinking and problem-solving, focusing on two types called pliance and tracking.
  • A new tool called the Generalized Tracking Questionnaire (GTQ) was developed and tested for its psychometric properties in three studies involving over 1,100 participants, showing strong reliability and validity.
  • The findings suggest that the GTQ effectively measures aspects of RGB and correlates well with executive function tests, indicating its potential for further research in this area.
