The study examined how parental dental fear and children's dental fear affect the Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) of Saudi children aged 7-12 in the Eastern Province.
Data from 93 children were collected through clinical exams and validated questionnaires, with analyses showing that high dental fear and dental caries correlate with lower OHRQoL.
The results also indicated a strong link between parental fear of dentists and children's fear, highlighting a potential cycle of dental anxiety within families.
