The study evaluated the influence of maternal variables (age, body weight and body mass index; BMI) during mating on the development of hypoglycaemia and investigated whether hypoglycaemia at birth impairs thermoregulation, metabolism, body weight gain and immunoglobulin concentration in neonatal goat kids.
