Polarizable force fields crucially enhance the modeling of macromolecules in polar media. Here, we present new parameters to model six common monosaccharides with the polarizable AMOEBA force field. These parameters yield a thinner, but denser, hydration layer than that previously reported.

Objectives: Oral Lichenoid Dysplasia (OLD) is a controversial histological term applied to lesions that display features of oral lichen planus (OLP) and oral epithelial dysplasia (OED). In this study we investigated the molecular profiles of OLD, OLP and OED to determine whether OLD exists as a distinct pathological entity.

Materials And Methods: Samples from patients presenting with lesions diagnosed histologically as OLP, OLD or OED underwent RNA sequencing followed by differential gene expression, functional enrichment and network analysis, sparse partial least squares discriminant analysis, and immune cell phenotypic estimation.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is characterized by interstitial lung infiltrates, dyspnea, and progressive respiratory failure. Reports linking telomerase mutations to familial interstitial pneumonia (FIP) suggest that telomerase activity and telomere length maintenance are important in disease pathogenesis. To investigate the role of telomerase in lung fibrotic remodeling, intratracheal bleomycin was administered to mice deficient in telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) or telomerase RNA component (TERC) and to wild-type controls.
