The aim of the present study was to examine the protein expression levels of E-, N- and P-cadherin, which are involved in the proliferation of neoplastic cells, in cancer tissue from patients with endometrial cancer. Furthermore, the present study aimed to investigate the effect of these proteins on clinicopathological parameters. Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the protein expression levels of the aforementioned cadherins in 38 primary endometrial tumors, 20 metastatic tumors (nine metastases to the lymph nodes and 11 distant metastases) and five cases of atypical hyperplasia as the control group.

The role of adhesion proteins in cancer refers to angiogenesis, loss of tissue continuity, and deprivation of intercellular contact with the extracellular matrix, promoting the spread of cancer through the formation of metastases. The integrity of the epithelium is disturbed - with disturbances in the whole mechanism of cell connections, thanks to which cancer cells infiltrate surrounding tissues, and move to lymphatic and blood vessels.

We present a rare case of a large foetal dyshormonogenetic goitre, causing foetal neck hyperexten-sion, oesophageal compression, and cardiac high-output failure.
Material And Methods: A foetal goitre complicated by cardiomegaly and polyhydramnios was diagnosed at 23 weeks of gestation (WG) on a routine ultrasonographic (US) assessment in a healthy nullipara.
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly fatal disease, usually diagnosed in an advanced stage which gives a slight chance of recovery. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a family of zinc-dependent endopeptidases that participate in tissue remodeling and stimulate neovascularization and inflammatory response. The aim of the study was to evaluate the expression of MMP-2, MMP-7, and MMP-9 in normal ducts, tumor pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells, and peritumoral stroma in correlation with clinicohistopathological parameters.
