Cyto- and genotoxic effects of nanoparticles on the basis of FM, CMF or their combination have been studied in AKE cells, BM cells of erythroid line, and peripheral blood lymphocytes with the use of MN test and "DNA-comet" assay. It has been shown that expression of mentioned effects is related to FM concentration and duration of tested agent action. It has been also demonstrated that action of CMF alone in the studied cells did not cause any changes in cell architectonics or affect MN counts which are associated with DNA damage.

It was shown in vitro that visualization of iron nanoparticles by histochemical Lilly method, modified by authors for cytomorphological studies, could be a certain control of ferromagnetic income to human breast cancer MCF-7 cells with different sensitivity to antitumor drugs (doxorubicin and cisplatin). The form of the visualized iron nanoparticles, their localization and distribution towards intracellular structures was studied. It was shown that localization, dynamics of accumulation and release of ferromagnetic from cells were connected to their sensitivity to antitumor drugs and time of incubation with iron nanoparticles.

The role of DNA methylation in functioning of a normal and cancer cell is shown in this review. The value of methylation in functioning of the systems which are involved in the process of formation of malignant cells drug resistance phenotype (regulator proteins of cellular cycle, DNA-adducts reparation, transport systems, systems of detoxication and adhesion) is explicated. The prospects of the antineoplastic therapy directed to regulation of DNA methylation by means of homocysteine and demethylation agents are analyzed.

The laboratory verified cases of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in the piedmont steppes of the North Caucasus (Malgobeksky District, Republic of Ingushetia) are first described. The source of the first infection was Ixodidae ticks; three subsequent sources were contacts with the bloody discharges from patients. CCHF virus genome was detected in the blood of the cattle from an epidemic focus and in the pools of the Ixodes ticks Haemaphysalis parva Neum.

The study deals with the first experience of practically using a computer program designed to monitor the treatment process with a subsequent analysis of the efficiency of an anti-TB therapy with regard for different characteristics of patients. The efficiency of chemotherapy was compared (by using the clinical, microbiological and laboratory criteria) in two patients' groups, i.e.

Examined in treating rats with Guerin's carcinoma with doxorubicin was the possibility that the polyenzymic drug preparation wobe-mugos E had hepatoprotective, cardioprotective and myeloprotective effects. In intramuscular administration wobe-mugos E has not been found to stimulate the tumour growth, it exhibited a manifest hepatoprotective and myeloprotective actions with respect to adverse reactions of doxorubicin but failed to diminish cardiotoxicity of the latter. The protective effect of the above polyenzymic drug was of a dose-dependent character.

Trypsin PC from the hepatopancreas of the king crab Paralithodes camtschatica was isolated and purified to apparent homogeneity by ion-exchange chromatography on Aminosilochrom and DEAE-Sephadex and affinity chromatography on arginine-agarose. The yield of the enzyme was 37.7%, and the purification degree was 21.

Various methods for obtaining oxytocin from its recombinant precursor oxytocinoyllysine were studied. For splitting off the C-terminal lysine residue in oxytocinoyllysine, the carboxypeptidase B and an analogous carboxypeptidase from king crab hepatopancreas were used. Ammonolysis of oxytocinic acid methyl ester proved to be the most efficient method for the last stage of the oxytocin preparation.

One of the pathways of improving the psychological selection of the flying personnel is to study properties of the personality responsible for flying tasks. It is important to form an ideal of personality properties of the pilot and navigator. With this purpose a special set of psychological methods allowing a comprehensive study of the personality was used.

The paper gives assessment of personality characteristics of pilot-cadets and discusses their influence on the marks in flying disciplines. The study uses a discrimination analysis and presents a statistically optimal generalized criterion that can be applied to quantitative prediction of the success of flight training.
