Ferroptosis is an iron dependent cell death driven by lipid peroxidation. Over the past decade, increasing evidence has confirmed that ferroptosis plays an irreplaceable role in the occurrence and development of many diseases, including various cancers, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases and autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune disease is an inflammatory disease characterized by the breakdown of immune tolerance.
