 This study evaluates the conditions for microvascular procedures found by hand surgeons in Brazilian clinical practices.  A prospective, observational, and analytical primary clinical research conducted during the 37 Brazilian Congress of Hand Surgery, from March 30 to April 1 , 2017, in Belo Horizonte, in which physicians answered 12 closed, objective, multiple-choice questions regarding their geographic region, type of institution (public or private), microsurgical training, time of experience, technical conditions, the availability of a standby team for emergencies and compensation.  The study analyzed 143 hand surgeons; among them, 65.

Background: Ports play a substantial role in the Brazilian economy.Despite the large number of port workers, few studies report that the most common musculoskeletal disorders among them involve the upper limbs, including carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff syndrome, cervicalgia and cubital tunnel syndrome.The latter is a neuritis caused by compression of the ulnar nerve at the cubital tunnel (CuTS) on the elbow.

Objective: To assess the homodigital flap surgical procedure, as well as the function of the finger, pain, sensation, esthetics, and patient satisfaction.

Method: Retrospective analysis of records and questionnaires of patients who underwent this surgical technique between the months of May 2013 and October 2016. Eight were included in the study, with an average follow-up period of 23 months.

Objective: Demonstrate that the tendon of palmar long can be estimated in relation to its length and width before using it as a graft in surgical procedure.

Methods: There were examined 60 forearms of 30 corpses of black ethnicity; measure the length and width of the tendon of the palmaris longus muscle and compared the length of the forearm.

Results: There are notes their absence unilateral right in two female corpses.
