Type 2 inflammation: a Portuguese consensus using Web-Delphi and decision conferencing (INFLAT2-PT).

Objectives: Atopic/allergic diseases impose a growing burden on public health, affecting millions of patients worldwide. The main objective of this study was to develop a national expert consensus on relevant clinical questions related to type 2 inflammation.

Methods: We conducted: a comprehensive literature review with a qualitative analysis to identify the most repeated themes on the overlap of conditions; a modified 3-round Web-Delphi (or e-Delphi); and a final online decision conference.

Tumor-Infiltrating T Cells in Skin Basal Cell Carcinomas and Squamous Cell Carcinomas: Global Th1 Preponderance with Th17 Enrichment-A Cross-Sectional Study.

Basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) are high-incidence, non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSCs). The success of immune-targeted therapies in advanced NMSCs led us to anticipate that NMSCs harbored significant populations of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes with potential anti-tumor activity. The main aim of this study was to characterize T cells infiltrating NMSCs.

Erosive lesion of the nipple: What is your diagnosis?

Erosive and oozing lesions of the nipple, especially when unilateral, should raise suspicion about malignant neoplasms. Herein we report a patient with typical clinical and histopathological features of erosive adenomatosis of the nipple (EAN). It is an uncommon, benign proliferative process of lactiferous ducts of the nipple.

Chilblain-Like Eruption Unveiling Cutaneous Aleukemic Relapse of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Leukemia cutis corresponds to skin infiltration by malignant hematopoietic cells. It is most commonly reported in acute myeloid leukemia, particularly in subtypes with a monocytic component. Its clinical manifestations are extremely variable, and histopathologic diagnosis of cutaneous leukemic infiltrates may be challenging.

Paraneoplastic or treatment-associated dermatomyositis: a diagnostic challenge.

Dermatomyositis (DM) is a systemic autoimmune disorder characterized by proximal myopathy and dermatological findings. Approximately 15-30% of DM cases emerge as a paraneoplastic syndrome caused by a concomitant malignancy. Although more rare, in cancer patients DM has also been reported as a possible result of toxicity of some antineoplastic agents, such as taxanes and monoclonal antibodies.

Varenicline-induced drug eruption: case and review of the literature.

Cutaneous side-effects of varenicline, a selective partial agonist of the a4B2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor used to treat smoking addiction, are relatively rare and mainly consist of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. We describe an atypical clinical presentation of a varenicline-induced drug eruption, which occurred one day after drug initiation. We report this case since we believe no drug reaction to varenicline has had this clinical presentation or rapidity of onset.
