The wattled ibis (Bostrychia carunculata) is a little-known endemic Abyssinian species living in the Ethiopian and Eritrean Highlands. This bird species lives in close contact with humans in several parts of its range. Nothing is known about parasites infecting the wattled ibis and its distribution across populations, with the exception of some lice species.
