Introduction: To miniaturize endourological procedures, mini-Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery (mini-ECIRS) has emerged as a promising alternative in the treatment of complex kidney and ureteral stones. To date, some data available in the literature have shown good outcomes regarding effectiveness and safety. This study aimed to evaluate the results and postoperative complications of mini-ECIRS in our series.

We describe a case of ureteral stricture after radical cystectomy with orthotopic neobladder. The patient presented 4 months after laparoscopic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal orthotopic ileal neobladder, with fever and left lower back pain.Laboratory analysis showed leucocytosis and elevated C reactive protein and creatine levels.

The repercussions of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus over recent years have posed an unprecedented challenge for the whole of society, affecting the well-being of everyone. Among all the variables affected in relation to well-being, Anxiety, Emotional Intelligence, and Effective Personality (Self-Esteem, Academic Self-Realisation, Resolute Self-Efficacy, Social Self-Realisation) have been highlighted. The aim of this study is to assess the evolution of those variables across three temporal phases: pre-pandemic, during the pandemic, and up until the end of the study in April 2022.

Even though they temporize the subsequent treatment of lithiasis, they may cause different symptoms that impact quality of life (QoL). In this randomized trial, we assessed whether the diameter of ureteral stents has an impact on catheter-associated symptoms, and their impact on QoL.

The new pulse modality Vapor-Tunnel™ (VT) consists of a very long pulse that uses the minimum peak power, causing the energy to pass through a previously created vapor channel or tunnel. The first part of the pulse creates a vapor channel, whereas the remaining energy is discharged immediately after, passing straight through the previously created tunnel. The aim of this study is to compare the dusting efficacy between Ho:YAG laser with long pulse and Ho:YAG laser with VT for non-complex kidney stones.

Background: Few clinical data are available on thulium fiber laser (TFL) and conservative treatment of upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

Objective: To assess the effectiveness and safety of TFL in the conservative treatment of UTUC in terms of both tumor ablation and complication rates in a short-term follow-up.

Design Setting And Participants: Retrospective data were collected from all patients who underwent endoscopic management of UTUC between January 2021 and April 2022.

A prospective analysis of consecutive patients who underwent SBES for bilateral renal stones at our institution between June 2017 and September 2021 was performed.

The scientific literature on mental health has found an association between physical activity and emotional wellbeing and recommends active leisure activities as a way of keeping stress under control. The purpose of this research study is to analyze the level of anxiety, the symptoms of depression and the level of self-esteem of people practicing speleology, as well as possible gender differences. This paper also attempts to understand whether self-esteem is associated with the presence of symptoms of depression in speleologists and whether anxiety has a mediating effect.

Minimally Invasive Partial Nephrectomy: Are All Clamps Created Equal? An Ex Vivo Model Simulation of Vascular Clampage.

During the partial nephrectomy, clamping of the vascular pedicle before exision of the tumor is a key step in minimizing blood loss and maintaining adequate visualization. Different vascular clamping devices have been developed for minimal invasive surgery. However, there are no reports comparing them in turn of efficiency RECENT FINDINGS: We present an ex vivo experimental model, designed to demonstrate differences between the clamping devices.

In the present study, we attempt to identify different types of family influence on the entrepreneurial interests of young people. A questionnaire was used to obtain data from 1633 Spanish adolescents (15 to 18 years old) and another questionnaire was used to obtain data from 839 parents.

Background: Ferric carboxymaltose (FCM) is a stable, non-dextran-based intravenous iron complex used to treat iron deficiency of various etiologies. As FCM is a nonbiological complex drug and cannot be fully characterized by physicochemical analyses, it is important to demonstrate in nonclinical models that FCM similars (FCMS) have similar biodistribution.

Materials And Methods: A total of 30 nonanemic rats were treated weekly with 40 mg iron/kg body weight intravenous FCM, FCMS, or isotonic saline (controls) for 4 weeks.

Objective: The inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a neoplasia with intermediate biological potential, infrequent, with an unpredictable clinical prognosis and a low recurrence rate after an effective treatment. We report two cases of IMT with genitourinary localization, being this entit's publications infrequent. Both presented with little symptomatology, leading to multiple differential diagnosis.
