[Efecto de la rehabilitación cardiaca temprana en pacientes incluidos en Código Infarto].

Introduction: Early cardiac rehabilitation (ECR) implemented in the Infarction Code (IC) protocol is a strategy in the care of acute myocardial infarction. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of ECR in IC-included patients.

Method: Case-control study.

[The Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social gives dialysis therapies to 426 students without cost].

Background: The Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) is the institution with the greatest health coverage in Mexico. In adherence to existing and committed to provide specialized services to specific populations (vulnerable age groups, such as children and young people in primary, secondary and higher education, productive and without social security educational training), this gives the renal replacement therapy -peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis- at no cost to students.

Methods: Cross-sectional and retrospective study conducted from 1 to 30 September 2016; Census Patients with Chronical Renal Failure, sociodemographic and type of therapy are identified; direct costs are estimated.

[Emergency obstetric causes and Immediate Response Team in a secondary hospital].

Background: The aim of this work is to describe the causes of the obstetric emergency, which motivates the activation of the Immediate Response Team at a second level hospital of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, which has not an Intensive Care Unit for Adult Patients.

Methods: Retrospective observational study of the causes of obstetric emergency that occurred in the domains of Admission, Hospitalization, Labor, Delivery Room, Operating Room and Recovery of the Hospital General de Zona 53 of the IMSS, during the years 2014 and 2015.

Results: In 2014, were attended 3915 women due to obstetric cause; of them, 75 cases were of obstetric emergency and 3276 live births.

[Global burden of disease of chronic kidney disease in Mexico].

The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) is a methodology that evaluates risks to the population risks when confronted with a disease or injury, such as the entirety of the effects of mortality and disability that these represent for health systems. The chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an entity with high mortality, high disability, and high health-intervention costs. The review of the data generated by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), the headquarters of the GBD Study Group, show that at worldwide level, CKD-associated mortality has increased 108% since 1990 to 2015.

[Stages of grief in diabetes and metabolic control].

Background: To identify type 2 diabetic patients, the stages of grief and its association with metabolic control.

Methods: 186 patients both sexes, without recent loss of a loved one or a terminal illness. We applied a previously validated instrument, which explored the stages of grief (denial, anger/disbelief, bargaining, depression, and acceptance).
