Article Synopsis
  • The development of cognitive functions, especially executive functions, is heavily influenced by childhood experiences and learning opportunities.
  • A pilot study assessed the impact of a computational thinking program, "Programming for Children," on children aged 10-11, revealing improvements in visuospatial working memory, cognitive inhibition, and sequential planning in the experimental group compared to the control group.
  • Findings are promising but should be taken with caution due to the small sample size; larger studies are recommended to explore these effects further.

Unlabelled: This article presents a systematic review of studies on cognitive training programs based on artificial cognitive systems and digital technologies and their effect on executive functions. The aim has been to identify which populations have been studied, the characteristics of the implemented programs, the types of implemented cognitive systems and digital technologies, the evaluated executive functions, and the key findings of these studies. The review has been carried out following the PRISMA protocol; five databases have been selected from which 1889 records were extracted.

Article Synopsis
  • There is currently no software that connects linguistic analysis with network programs effectively, limiting the integration of complex language systems.
  • Most existing tools rely on computational systems that overlook key linguistic theories, which can lead to inaccuracies in language analysis.
  • Netlang is a groundbreaking software that bridges this gap, enabling precise linguistic analysis to be linked with network models while addressing syntactic peculiarities and preserving important morpho-syntactic information.
