Background: Facial aging involves multifactorial changes affecting the bone, superficial musculoaponeurotic system, fat pads, and skin, primarily manifesting as the downward displacement of these structures. The transtemporal endoscopic deep plane face lift (TEDPF) suggests a vertical lifting method, targeting these issues without a preauricular incision.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 140 patients (133 women and 7 men) 33-67 years of age who underwent TEDPF from February 2020 to March 2023.

After establishing Encorafenib-resistant A375-MM cells, resistant-related mechanisms were investigated using WST-1, Annexin V, cell cycle, morphological analysis, live-cell, Western blot, RNA-Seq, transmission electron microscopy-(TEM), oxidative stress and iron colorimetric assay. The most resistant group, called A375-R, was determined in the cells treated with a constant dose of 10 nM over 3 months.

Cerebral blood flow differences in cognitive disengagement syndrome and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: Doppler ultrasonography findings.

Objective: The present study aims to investigate potential differences in cerebral blood flow between children with Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome (CDS) and those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) using Doppler ultrasound.

Methods: In this single-center prospective study, we included 24 cases in the ADHD group with CDS symptoms, 29 cases in the ADHD group without CDS symptoms and, 26 children in the healthy controls. The children ranged in age from 6 to 15.

Surgical procedures were performed through a full median sternotomy due to redo cases and to provide optimal access.

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of Philosophy for Children (P4C) activities integrated into Turkish lessons on the speaking skills of gifted students. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected through interviews and various scales, employing a mixed-method design. The results indicated that students had positive feelings about P4C, including appreciation, curiosity, surprise, excitement, self-confidence, and empathy.

Introduction: Extracranial internal carotid stenosis (EICS) is a well-established cause of stroke. Carotid near-occlusion (CNO), either distally collapsed or not, is a rare sub-type of EICS with conflicting data regarding the necessity for treatment. Extensive metastatic ependymoma with long-term progression-free survival with capecitabine plus temozolomide combination chemotherapy: A case report.

We wanted to present a rare case of metastatic grade 2 spinal ependymoma with an atypical course at the time of diagnosis. Temozolomide plus capecitabine chemotherapy was started in May 2018 on a 30-year-old female patient with sacral ependymoma who had extensive lung metastases at the time of diagnosis. The patient remained in remission for approximately 29 months, and the current chemotherapy was continued until it progressed in November 2020.

Akathisia is an underestimated but disturbing extrapyramidal side effect of antidepressants, which could reduce treatment compliance in mood disorders. Here, we show how innovations in amplified biosensing, imaging, and data processing, coupled with deep learning, can help improve POCT. To demonstrate the performance of our approach, we present a rapid and cost-effective paper-based high-sensitivity vertical flow assay (hs-VFA) for quantitative measurement of cardiac troponin I (cTnI), a biomarker widely used for measuring acute cardiac damage and assessing cardiovascular risk.

Endocrine therapy (ET) plus cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitors is a standard treatment for hormone receptor (HR) positive HER-2-negative metastatic breast cancer patients. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of body mass index (BMI) on progression-free survival (PFS) in patients receiving ET plus CDK 4/6 inhibitors. Patients with metastatic HR-positive breast cancer receiving CDK 4/6 inhibitors were included in the study.

This study aimed to investigate whether serum amyloid A (AA) level can be used as a biomarker in women with hyperemesis gravidarum (HEG). This prospective observational study was conducted at the Antalya Training and Research Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic, Türkiye, between July and December 2023. Forty women diagnosed with HEG and 40 healthy women were included.

Background/aim: This study assessed the impact of intraoperative microvascular Doppler ultrasonography (MDU) during microsurgical subinguinal varicocele correction in children.

Materials And Methods: Nineteen patients who underwent intraoperative MDU during subinguinal microsurgical varicocelectomy between 2021 and 2023 were included in this study. Each patient's age, varicocele side, clinical examination findings, preoperative ultrasonography results, intraoperative findings, spermatic artery counts and findings in terms of MDU use, postoperative complications, and results were evaluated.
