Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of a computer-assisted rehabilitation program on self-management, cognitive function, and quality of life in people with epilepsy (PwE).

Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 44 PwE (22 intervention, 22 control) at a university hospital's neurology clinic. The intervention group received 12 sessions of the RehaCom program (45 min/session, twice a week for six weeks).

Background: Placental syndrome, mainly composed of preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction, has an impact on the health of mother and baby dyads. While impaired placentation is central to their pathophysiology, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Objective: We aimed to compare highly purified human menopausal gonadotropin (hp-hMG) and recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (rFSH) in short antagonist in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles of patients with poor ovarian reserve (POR). Limited research exists on this comparison in short antagonist cycles for this patient group.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort study involved 165 POR patients aged 18-45 years who underwent IVF between 2018 and 2022.

Introduction: This study aims to investigate the impact of auditory input on postural control in young adult cochlear implant users with profound sensorineural hearing loss. Methods: 34 young adult cochlear implant users, consisting of 15 males and 19 females aged 18-35 years, underwent various balance tests, including the modified Clinical Tests of Sensory Interaction on Balance (mCTSIB) and the Unilateral Stance Test (UST), under different auditory conditions: (1) White noise stimulus present with the sound processor activated, (2) Ambient noise present with the sound processor activated, and (3) Sound processor deactivated.

The Role of Diaphragmatic Ultrasound in Identifying Sarcopenia in COPD Patients: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background/aim: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is often complicated by sarcopenia, a condition of reduced muscle mass and function that adversely affects quality of life, lung function, and exacerbation rates. Ultrasonography could be an effective tool for detecting sarcopenia, notably by assessing diaphragmatic function, which may indicate muscle health in COPD patients. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of diaphragmatic ultrasound in detecting sarcopenia among COPD patients.

Sleep quality and risk of obstructive sleep apnea in psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa patients.

Background/aim: Psoriasis and Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) are chronic inflammatory skin conditions that significantly impact quality of life, sleep, and increase morbidity. This study aims to compare sleep quality and the risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients with these conditions. Additionally, it explores the relationships between sleep disorders, demographic factors, disease severity, and inflammatory markers.

Organ transplantation practices have witnessed tremendous advances all over the world and in Türkiye in recent years, and the pre-transplantation preparation, operation and postoperative follow-up procedures are being meticulously handled. Purpose: The effect of the inter-implant interval time on language and communication skills has been a subject of research for years in children with bilateral cochlear implants. This study aimed to investigate language and some attention and memory skills in children with bilateral sequential and simultaneous cochlear implants.

Method: The study included a total of 40 children aged between 6 and 8 years old, grouping bilateral simultaneous cochlear implanted children, sequential implanted children with 0-2 years interval, sequential implanted children with 2-4 years interval, and normal hearing peers.

Background: Shoulder arthroscopy, a standard orthopedic procedure, often results in severe postoperative pain, leading to high opioid consumption and delayed recovery. Various analgesic methods, including peripheral nerve blocks, manage this pain. The pericapsular nerve group block is a relatively new technique whose efficacy in shoulder surgeries has yet to be extensively studied.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effect of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) on postoperative auditory perception and listening difficulties in pediatric cochlear implant (CI) recipients.

Method: The Children's Auditory Perception Test (CAPT) assesses auditory perception skills, and the Children's Home Inventory of Listening Difficulties (CHILD) Scale evaluates daily listening difficulties. The study involved pediatric CI recipients ( = 40) aged between 5 and 7 years, with and without diagnosis of ANSD.

The study, conducted on thirty-five female Wistar albino rats, was designed to mimic the conditions of polycystic ovary syndrome in humans. The rats were randomly assigned into five groups: control (C), vehicle (V), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), carvacrol (CAR), and polycystic ovary syndrome + carvacrol (PCOS + CAR).

Challenges and predictive radiological findings in the diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors in patients with acute appendicitis.

Background: Acute appendicitis is one of the most common surgical emergencies. With antibiotic-first treatment strategies gaining importance, the risk of an appendiceal tumor as an incidental finding or as the cause of appendicitis presents an obstacle to a conservative approach. Neuroendocrine tumors, the most frequent type of appendiceal tumors, are difficult to diagnose preopera-tively due to their small size.

Methods: This prospective, randomized, controlled multicenter study investigated the effects of the sacral erector spinae plane block on recovery quality in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty.

Background: Acute appendicitis is a common cause of acute abdominal pain necessitating surgical intervention. While the traditional treatment has been urgent appendectomy, recent studies suggest that an antibiotics-first approach can be safe for uncomplicated cases. Classifying appendicitis into uncomplicated and complicated categories is crucial for guiding treatment decisions and predicting patient outcomes.

Prediction of fresh herbage yield using data mining techniques with limited plant quality parameters.

The purpose of this study was to ascertain the fresh herbage yield, fertilizer dosage, and plant characteristics of the Sorghum-Sudangrass hybrid grown in arid and semi-arid regions, as well as their interrelationships. For this reason, data from the Sorghum-Sudangrass hybrid were used to assess the predictive performance of several data mining techniques, including CHAID, CART, MARS, and Bagging MARS. Plant traits were measured in Konya and Sanliurfa during 2021 and 2022.
