Generating effective live vaccines from intact viruses remains challenging owing to considerations of safety and immunogenicity. Approaches that can be applied in a systematic manner are needed. Here we created a library of live attenuated influenza vaccines by using diverse cellular E3 ubiquitin ligases to generate proteolysis-targeting (PROTAR) influenza A viruses.

Objectives: Different intrathoracic perfusion therapeutic regimens are available for non-small cell lung cancer with malignant pleural effusion (MPE). Antiangiogenic agents are often used to control MPE, and the results are satisfactory. Here, we performed a network meta-analysis to reveal optimal combinations of antiangiogenic agents and chemical agents and assess their effectiveness and safety.

To reveal the computational mechanisms underlying the formation of cognitive maps in large-scale environments, we propose a neural network model of the entorhinal-hippocampal neural circuit that integrates both spatial and non-spatial information.

Methods: We evaluated the predictive performance of machine learning models on imbalanced outcomes from the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (USNHANES) without using sampling weights. Four machine learning models (support vector machine, random forest, least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression, and deep neural network) were compared with a logistic model that incorporates the survey's complex sampling design.
