We report a case of a postpartum patient with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) necessitating venovenous ECMO support, complicated by multicompartmental intracranial hemorrhage resulting in brain herniation and necessitating emergent medical and surgical management of refractory intracranial hypertension. Methods: Multicenter analysis of NSQIP-Pediatric data from 14 consortium hospitals augmented with RPD-WBC data. WBC were considered routine if obtained within one day of discharge in children who did not develop an organ space infection (OSI) or fever during the index admission.
Reelin, an extracellular matrix protein with putative antidepressant-like properties, becomes dysregulated by chronic stress. Improvement in cognitive dysfunction and depression-like behavior induced by chronic stress has been reported with both intrahippocampal and intravenous Reelin treatment but the mechanisms responsible are not clear. To determine if treatment with Reelin modifies chronic stress-induced dysfunction in immune organs and whether this relates to behavioral and/or neurochemical outcomes, spleens were collected from both male (n = 62) and female (n = 53) rats treated with daily corticosterone injections for three weeks that received Reelin or vehicle.

Coexisting with the current COVID-19 pandemic is a global reality that comes with unique challenges impacting daily interactions, business, and facility maintenance.
