Background: Parents of children with chronic health conditions can face many challenges. The Tree of Life narrative therapy group intervention aims to connect parents with their skills and resources before collectively exploring the 'storms' (challenges) they face. A narrative-informed evaluation aimed to story the parents' experiences of attending the group.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIntroduction: Empathy for pain is influenced by several factors, including observer beliefs. This study aimed to test the associations between empathy for pain, fear of pain and health anxiety.
Methods: A total of 182 participants rated their levels of empathy towards 16 images (8 female and 8 male) of individuals in pain and provided measures of fear of pain, health anxiety as well as age, sex and the presence of current pain.
Aims: To investigate the severe coagulopathy (fibrinogen < 1.0 g/l) that occurs in some cases of tiger snake envenomation. Specifically, to determine the concentration of clotting factors on presentation and during resolution of the coagulopathy.
