Posttranscriptional regulators such as microRNAs control protein translation of target mRNAs with major consequences for development, physiology, and longevity. Here we show that food odor stimulates organismal proteostasis and promotes longevity in through -mediated inhibition of mRNA stability in olfactory AWC neurons.
