Unlabelled: We performed this clinical study in order to evaluate the reliability of the Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) surgical technique through the use of customized CAD CAM titanium meshes (Yxoss CBR Reoss) in order to show an alternative method of bone augmentation.

Materials And Methods: Nine patients presenting 10 bone defects were referred to solve oral dysfunction due to edentulous atrophic ridges. Guided bone regeneration was performed with titanium meshes combined with autogenous bone grafting and heterologous bovine bone mineral grafting, and exclusively a "poncho technique" soft tissue approach for all the cases.

Gingival recession is a mucogingival defect defined as the apical shifting of the gingival margin in relation to the CEJ. The use of connective tissue autografts allows for the obtention of very satisfactory results but is associated with undoubted disadvantages. The aim of the present work is to carry out a systematic review of the literature using a meta-analysis to investigate the clinical efficacy of xenogeneic collagen matrix (XCM) in the treatment of gingival recessions.

Guided bone regeneration allows new bone formation in anatomical sites showing defects preventing implant rehabilitation. The present case series reported the outcomes of five patients treated with customized titanium meshes manufactured with a digital workflow for achieving bone regeneration at future implant sites. A significant gain in both width and thickness was achieved for all patients.

Background: Orthodontic therapy is used to solve numerous oral problems, but the use of fixed oral devices can also impact negatively the oral cavity, if the treatment is not steadily under control. The aim of this study is to evaluate tooth, bone and soft tissues lesions due to the presence of fixed orthodontic appliances.

Methods: One hundred patients with fixed orthodontic appliances were included in the study.

With the development of X-ray computed tomography (CT) in the 1960s and its first use for clinical studies in 1972 by Sir Godfrey Hounsfield, radiological tomography attained widespread use and today is one of the essential imaging techniques in medical radiology. It is a technically mature and clinically widely accepted method and complements classical X-ray panoramic radiography in many areas. The technology is frequently used in craniofacial radiology, because of its characteristic low radiation dose, high spatial resolution and lower cost compared with CT.

Background: The aim of this study is to analyze the path needed to achieve a good aesthetic and functional result in patients treated with orthognathic surgery.

Methods: Seventy-three patients with only III class malocclusion were treated with sagittal split ramus osteotomy and with Le Fort I in only one piece. Through the analysis of anatomical cephalometric tracings, changes in the skeletal base, upper incisor and nose's shape were evaluated.

The behavior of fresh-frozen homologous bone (FFB) when used in combination with computer-guided implant surgery has not been investigated yet, and there is a lack of clinical evidence in the literature. The purpose of this retrospective study is to evaluate the implant survival and related fixed full-arch prostheses at the 1- to 5-year follow-up when performed with immediate function using a flapless surgical procedure and computer-aided technology (NobelGuide; Nobel Biocare AB, Goteborg, Sweden) in patients previously treated with FFB grafts. Furthermore, the related values of torque and complications observed were analyzed and discussed.
