Materials were prepared for schoolteachers and healthcare workers to support permanent initiatives in food and nutrition education in schools, integrated into the curriculum. The article presents the matrix of food and nutrition topics that served as the basis for producing these materials (Matrix) and the convergence between the approach adopted in the activities in the Activity Manuals comprising the series of materials and food dimensions, the principles of the Framework for Food and Nutrition Education for Public Policies (Framework for Food and Nutrition Education), and the Brazilian National Curriculum Guidelines for basic education. The Matrix allowed designing educational activities that foster an expanded approach to food and nutrition which is simultaneously crosscutting and integrated into the curriculum.

The study aimed to understand the narratives of primary healthcare workers in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on the challenges and potentialities of food and nutritional surveillance activities in the context of the Brazilian Income Transfer Program, vis-à-vis the limits of its implementation. The study adopted a qualitative, evaluative, and participatory approach. From 2018 to 2019, five focus groups were held with 60 university-level healthcare workers from 24 health units and one focus group with 13 community health agents.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe objective of this work is to enhance the conceptual hydrogeological model in the Río Cuarto River basin by using isotope and hydrochemical techniques. The precipitation pattern, as reflected in the average values of H and O in stations located in the plains and in the mountains, showed an isotope depletion from the East to the West, attributed to continental and altitude effects. Groundwater quality is mainly the result of two controlling factors: lithology and flow distances from recharge.
