This study aimed to assess the influence of different types of blue light sources on male and female rats' puberty onset, the morphologic-induced alterations in reproductive organs tissues, the impact on inflammation and oxidative stress markers, anxiety levels, and mathematical modeling for tissue data interpretation. Four groups of sixteen rats each (8 females and 8 males/group) were investigated: three groups were exposed to blue light from mobile phones (MP), computer screens (PC), or LED lamps (LED) versus the control group (CTRL). The rats in the CTRL group had no exposure while the other groups were exposed for 30 days to the blue light of MP, PC, and LED for 16 h per day.

Strategies to improve hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSPC) mobilization from the bone marrow can have a pivotal role in addressing iatrogenic bone-marrow insufficiency from chemo(radio)therapy and overcoming peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT) limitations such as insufficient mobilization. Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) represents the standard mobilization strategy for HSPC and has done so for more than three decades since its FDA approval. Its association with non-G-CSF agents is often employed for difficult HSPC mobilization.

The immunomodulatory effect of a novel biomaterial obtained through electrospinning, based on polylactic acid (PLA) and nano-hydroxyapatite (nano-HAP), loaded with doxycycline (doxy) was evaluated in an animal model. The treatment capabilities as a local non-surgical treatment of periodontitis was investigated on the lower incisors of Wistar rats, after the induction of localized periodontitis using the ligature technique. Following the induction of the disease, the non-surgical treatment of scaling and root planing was applied, in conjunction with the application of the new material.
