Antimüllerian hormone (AMH) is a homodimeric glycoprotein secreted by granulosa cells from primary to large antral follicles, and it plays an important role in the regulation of early follicle growth. It is considered a reliable marker of ovarian reserve and a predictor of ovarian response to controlled stimulation. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine condition that affects women of reproductive age worldwide, and it is associated with high levels of AMH.
