COVID-19 Infection in Critically Ill Patients Carries a High Risk of Venous Thrombo-embolism.

Objective: The coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) due to SARS-CoV-2 infection has been found to cause an increased risk of venous thrombo-embolism (VTE). The aims of the study were to determine the frequency of VTE in critically ill patients with COVID-19 and its correlation with D dimer levels and pharmacological prophylaxis.

Methods: This was a cohort study of critically ill patients due to COVID-19.

Feasibility of Intraoperative Fusion Imaging Using Non-Contrast CT Scan for EVAR in Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.

Introduction: Acute renal failure is a frequent major complication (24%) of endovascular repair for ruptured abdominal aneurysm (rAAA). Iodinated contrast media is known to be nephrotoxic. This report describes a case of endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) under fusion imaging guidance in a patient diagnosed with a rAAA after non-contrast CT.
