Background And Objective: Artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) is commonly used in France in female patients with stress urinary incontinence (SUI) due to intrinsic sphincter deficiency (ISD). However, it has never been assessed using patient-reported outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the functional outcomes of robotic AUS implantation using validated questionnaires.

This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of difficulties in pump manipulation among female AUS patients, identify associated risk factors, and explore management strategies for this challenging issue.
Methods: Data were collected from all female patients who underwent a robotic AUS implantation at a single academic center between 2014 and 2022.
Context: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common sexual disorder. In France, recent evidence-based guidelines are lacking.
Aim: To provide practice guidelines on ED therapeutic management.
Objective: The aim of the present report was to provide an up-to-date overview of the existing literature on female urethral stricture (FUS) including its definition, epidemiology, risk factors, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
Methods: A literature search was conducted in January 2024 using the MedLine and Embase databases, screening for randomized controlled trials (RCTs), prospective and retrospective series and reviews on female urethral stricture.
Results: Urethral stricture is a rare occurrence in female patients.
Introduction: Distal anterior urethral strictures (DAUS) affect the meatus, navicular fossa (NF) and penile urethra (PU). The main causes are inflammatory (lichen sclerosous [LS]), traumatic iatrogenic, or idiopathic. Post-hypospadias stenosis is common and constitutes a separate entity, dealt with in a separate article.

The gold standard for primary vaginoplasty in trans women is the penile skin inversion technique with scrotal skin graft, which allows for increased depth of the vaginal cavity.
Aims: The assessment of vulvo-vaginoplasty outcomes utilizing penile skin inversion and scrotal skin graft in individuals assigned male at birth in the surgeon's learning curve involves evaluating aesthetics, functionality, and sexual aspects.
Introduction: Peyronie's and Dupuytren's diseases are benign but are source of significant functional impairment leading to considerable suffering. In this study, the aim is to investigate the association between Peyronie's and Dupuytren's diseases as well as their common and specific risk factors.
Material And Methods: From July 2022 to March 2024, we conducted a multicentric observational study on 450 patients.
Purpose: Previous studies suggested better functional outcomes and longer device survival for female artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) implantation compared to male AUS implantation. We hypothesized that the adoption of robotic approaches for female implantation might have influenced these comparisons. This study aimed to compare the outcomes of robotic female AUS and male AUS implantation for non-neurogenic stress urinary incontinence (SUI).

The aim of this study was to provide linguistic validation of the questionnaire in French through several steps including use of the questionnaires across a series of patients who had undergone gender-affirming vulvo-vaginoplasty between 2020 and 2022 at two French academic centers.
Method: The French version of the oMtFSFI questionnaire was obtained through a double translation (Italian to French) and a back-translation (French to Italian), validated by a scientific committee, and cognitively assessed by a panel of expert patients.
Purpose: To compare the outcomes of patients undergoing robotic YV plasty for bladder neck contracture (BNC) vs. vesico-urethral anastomotic stricture (VUAS).
Methods: A retrospective study included male patients who underwent robotic YV plasty for BNC after endoscopic treatment of BPH or VUAS between August 2019 and March 2023 at a single academic center.
Purpose: Cut-off time to avoid orchiectomy relies on small series of patients. The objective was to determine the cut-off time to avoid orchiectomy in torsion of the spermatic cord in a large cohort.
Methods: We performed a retrospective multicenter study (TORSAFUF cohort) of patients with suspected spermatic cord torsion between 2005 and 2019.
Introduction: Most of the time, female-to-male (FtoM) chest surgery involves mastectomy techniques and free transplantation of the nipple-areola complex. With the increasing prevalence of gender dysphoria and the demand for female-to-male gender reassignment surgery, the need for FtM top surgery is also rising. To meet this demand, we present a new approach: the PIPe technique, based on a fasciocutaneous flap with a posteroinferior pedicle.

Numerical and structural chromosomal anomalies are validated genetic factors leading to spermatogenic quantitative defects, with a frequency depending on the severity of the phenotype. Among the structural chromosomal rearrangements, dicentric chromosomes are generally observed in robertsonian translocations or in cases of Y chromosome isodicentrics.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcute scrotal pain (ASP) requiring surgical exploration is common in the pediatric population, but little has been reported on this subject with regard to the adult population. The aim of this study was to investigate the demographic and clinical characteristics and outcomes of scrotal explorations performed on adult patients. Patients over 21 years of age who underwent surgical exploration for ASP with suspected testicular torsion (TT) at 14 French hospitals between January 2005 and December 2019 were included in this study.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of hospital volume on the outcomes of renal trauma management in a European health care system.
Aim: The objective of the present study was to compare the outcomes of open versus laparoscopic versus robotic cystectomy and ileal conduit for neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD).
Methods: The charts of all patients who underwent cystectomy and ileal conduit for NLUTD between January 2004 and November 2020 in an academic center were retrospectively reviewed. The approach was either open, laparoscopic or robot-assisted depending on the period (i.
Objective: To describe and assess the outcomes of dorsal onlay oral mucosa graft urethroplasty for female urethral stricture.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the charts of all female patients who underwent dorsal onlay oral (buccal or lingual) mucosa urethroplasty for urethral stricture between 2011 and 2020 at two academic institutions. The primary endpoint was clinical success defined as any subjective improvement in LUTS self-assessed by the patients 1-3 months after catheter removal.
Background: Use of Doppler ultrasonography (DUS) for patients with suspected testicular torsion (TT) is highly controversial and remains debated, as it can delay surgery and its performance may vary.
Objective: To assess the role, impact, safety, and performance of DUS in the management of patients with suspected TT before scrotal exploration.
Design, Setting, And Participants: The TORSAFUF cohort retrospectively included patients older than 12 yr who underwent surgery for suspected TT in 14 academic hospitals between 2005 and 2019.
Background: Angiography with selective angioembolization (SAE) is safe and effective in addressing bleeding in patients with renal trauma. However, there are no validated criteria to predict SAE efficacy.
Objective: To evaluate factors predictive of SAE failure after moderate- to high-grade renal trauma.
Introduction: The aim of this study was to compare observation and early drainage by ureteral stenting in patients with blunt renal trauma and urinary extravasation.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective national multicenter study was performed including all patients admitted for renal trauma at 17 hospitals between 2005 and 2015. Patients presenting with a urinary extravasation on initial imaging were considered for inclusion.
