This systematic review of clinical studies investigated whether circulating PRL levels differed between subjects with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and healthy controls, the correlation between circulating PRL and SLE activity, and the effect of dopaminergic agonists as adjuvant therapy for SLE. We searched PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane, Embase, and Google Scholar for case-control and cross-sectional studies investigating circulating PRL levels in subjects with SLE and/or its correlation with disease activity, and clinical trials examining the effect of dopaminergic agonists on SLE activity assessed by the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index (SLEDAI) score. Forty-five studies addressing circulating PRL levels in SLE met our inclusion criteria.

We performed both clinical and molecular descriptions of four families with MEN1 in a follow-up at a tertiary center in Brasília.
Methods: From a preliminary review of approximately 500 medical records of patients with pituitary neuroendocrine tumor (PitNET) from the database of the Neuroendocrinology Outpatient Clinic of the University Hospital of Brasília, a total of 135 patients met the criteria of at least two affected family members.
Telemedicine is a resource to provide health care to patients social distancing and prevent their exposure to the risk of contamination by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in medical-hospital settings. This study evaluated a virtual model of care in acromegalic patients. We recruited 78 acromegalic patients, 65% female, median age 63 years.

Methods: Pubmed, Scopus, Web of Science, and grey literature were searched for studies investigating the association between variations of prolactin serum levels in the normal range and the risk of T2D in adults. The risk of prevalent and incident T2D was summarized as the odds ratio or relative risk according to the quartile of prolactin serum concentration, using random-effects meta-analysis.
Background: Prolactinomas are tumors of the pituitary gland that usually respond very well to treatment with cabergoline. Resistance to cabergoline is very rare, but when it occurs, it is a difficult problem to resolve if the tumor is inoperable.
Case Presentation: A 62-year-old white man was treated for a giant macroprolactinoma detected during investigation of a subacute subdural hematoma of the left frontal lobe.
Prolactinomas are preferentially treated with dopamine agonists. However, a few adenomas are resistant to this treatment. To evaluate the characteristics of patients with resistance to dopamine agonists in the long-term.
