Heterotopic pancreas is the presence of pancreatic tissue outside the anatomical location of the pancreas. It is a rare condition and can occur anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract with the stomach and small bowel as the most common sites. It is usually asymptomatic but may become clinically evident when complicates by pathologic changes such as inflammation, bleeding, obstruction and malignant transformation.

Background: Complete resection offers the only potential cure for ampullary carcinoma.

Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the results of cephalic pancreaticoduodenectomy for patients with ampullary carcinoma based on mortality, hospital morbidity, late morbidity, and survival. Nodal status was specially analized in an attempt to identify patients who are at high risk for recurrence.

Type IV A choledochal cyst is a very uncommon disease, characterized by congenital cystic dilatation of the biliary tree extending to the intrahepatic biliary channels also. The adrenal gland can frequently be the site of metastatic deposits, including malignant melanocytic tumors; however, primary melanoma of the adrenal gland is exceptional. We reviewed 18 cases reported in the English literature to date, and here add another case which occurred in a 78-year-old man. The patient underwent right suprarenalectomy and the pathology report showed a malignant melanoma of the adrenal gland.
