Exploring efficient and low-cost bifunctional catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) is highly desirable for the achievement of unitized regenerative fuel cells. Herein, a facile method to prepare hetero-interfacial Ni-Ni Mo N nanosheets with tailored d-band for efficient alkaline hydrogen electrocatalysis is presented. Mechanism studies indicate that interface engineering can downshift the d-band center of Ni-Ni Mo N nanosheets due to the electron transfer from Ni to Ni Mo N, which weakens the binding strength of reaction intermediates, thereby boosting the catalytic performance.

Brassica yellows virus (BrYV), prevalently distributed throughout mainland China and South Korea while triggering serious diseases in cruciferous crops, is proposed to be a new species in the genus Polerovirus within the family Luteoviridae. There are three distinct genotypes (BrYV-A, BrYV-B and BrYV-C) reported in cabbage and radish. Here, we describe a new BrYV isolate infecting tobacco plants in the field, which was named BrYV-NtabQJ.

The morphology tuning of Pd and Pd-M nanoparticles is one of the significant strategies to control the catalytic activity toward oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). In this study, composite Pdx/Co-nanofilms/C electrocatalysts of Pd nanoparticles implanted onto Co nanofilms were synthesized on an immiscible ionic liquid (IL)/water interface for ORR. The Pd nanoparticles implanted onto Co nanofilms show a marked distortion of crystal lattice and surface roughness.
