Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics and therapeutic responte of patients with B-CLPD mainly manifested as cytopenia, so as to deeply understand this disease.

Methods: The clinical data of 13 B-CLPD patients with hematocytopenia as main manifestation, and the absolute count of lymphocytes<5×10/L, absence of hepatosplenic lymph-nodes and extramedullary invasion tin our department fron 2003 to 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. The clinical characteristics, therapeutic efficacy and adverse reactions of 3 patients were summarized.

Poor expression is the key factor hampering the large-scale application of transgenic animal mammary gland bioreactors. A very different approach would be to evaluate the secretion of recombinant proteins into milk in response to a cleavable signal peptide of highly secreted lactoproteins.We previously reported rabbits harboring mammary gland-specific expression vector containing a fusion cDNA (goat β-lactoglobulin (BLG) signal peptide and recombinant human plasminogen activator (rhPA) coding sequences) expressed rhPA in the milk, but we did not realize the signal peptide contributed to the high rhPA concentration and did not mention it at that time.

Objective: To generate novel rabbit models with a large-fragment deletion of either LDL receptor (LDLR) and/or apolipoprotein (apoE) genes for the study of hyperlipidemic and atherosclerosis.

Methods: CRISPR/Cas9 system directed by a multiple sgRNAs system was used in rabbit embryos to edit their LDLR and apoE genes. Amyloid deposits of apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I) and inflammation are common in atherosclerotic arteries. In this study, we investigated the interplay between oxidation of apoA-I methionine residues (Met(O)-ApoA-I), a known amyloidogenic modification of apoA-I, and the inflammatory response of immune cells. Soluble pre-fibrillar Met(O)-ApoA-I, but not apoA-I, induced intracellular accumulation of pro-interleukin (IL)-1β and secretion of the pro-inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) and IL-6 in mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) and human primary monocytes.

Pure WO and Ag-WO (mixed solid solutions Ag with WO) have been successfully synthesized by sol-gel method and the influences of calcination temperature on the particle size, morphology of the WO and Ag-WO nanoparticles were investigated. Powder X-ray diffraction results show that the hexagonal to monoclinic phase transition occurs at calcination temperature varying from 300°C to 500°C. SEM images show that calcination temperature plays an important role in controlling the particle size and morphology of the as-prepared WO and Ag-WO nanoparticles.

Androgen receptor splice variant 7 (AR-V7) is crucial for prostate cancer progression and therapeutic resistance. We show that, independent of ligand, AR-V7 binds both androgen-responsive elements (AREs) and non-canonical sites distinct from full-length AR (AR-FL) targets. Consequently, AR-V7 not only recapitulates AR-FL's partial functions but also regulates an additional gene expression program uniquely via binding to gene promoters rather than ARE enhancers.

Based on one year real-time measurements from a seven-wavelength Aethalometer combined with an Aethalometer model, the measured aerosol absorption coefficients at different wavelengths have been used to apportion the contribution of fossil fuel and biomass burning sources to the total black carbon (BC) mass concentration in the north suburb of Nanjing. Good consistency in the relationship between the Angstrom absorption exponent()and the ratio of BC from biomass burning sources to total BC (BB) was obtained during this period. The α was highest in winter and lowest in summer, which indicates the change in the source of the absorbing aerosols and their relative source strength.
