Purpose: This study was aimed to compare the difference between iRoot SP and AH Plus on root canal sealing ability for teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis and explore whether the dentin tubule pathway plays an important role in the development of endodontic-periodontic lesions(EPL), in order to provide a theoretical basis for selection of proper time for root canal therapy and suitable root canal sealants in patients with EPL.
Methods: Fifty single-root anterior teeth extracted due to severe periodontitis were selected. The roots were completely debrided to remove the calculus, dental plaque and cementum.
Sugar content is an important factor that largely determines fruit quality. 'Fengtang' plum (Prunus salicina Lindl.) is recognized for its high soluble sugar content, and the Sucrose synthase 4 (PsSUS4) functions as the controlling step in sucrose accumulation.

We sought to obtain a granular estimate of patient-level risk-adjusted survival for each therapeutic option by cancer histopathology and stage.
Background: Although esophagectomy alone is now an uncommon therapy for treating locally advanced esophageal cancer, the value of adjuvant therapy after esophagectomy is unknown.
Oil-water separation materials with specialized wettability have garnered significant attention in the field of oil-water separation due to the advantages of simple use and no secondary pollution. However, the adsorptive contamination of the filter surface by impurity phases and surfactants can cause a shift in the wettability of the filter surface. For efficient oil-water separation and improved resistance to adherent contamination on the oil-water separation membrane surface, herein, superwetted Cu nanofilms and smooth hydrophobic surfaces were prepared on SSM substrates by one-step electrodeposition and immersion methods, respectively.

Based in Guangzhou, China, the GBCS began recruitment in 2008, comprises three complementary studies: the Guangzhou breast cancer cohort with 5471 breast cancer patients, a case-control study with 1551 cases and 1605 controls, and an immunohistochemistry (IHC) cohort with 1063 breast cancer patients. Participants are primarily aged 41-60 years.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from August 2018 to January 2021 in the urban-rural fringe zone of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. Blood pressure and antihypertensive medication use were collected from T2DM patients combined with hypertension (HTN).
People with functional seizures (FS) have frequent and disabling cognitive dysfunction and mental health symptoms, with low quality of life. However, interrelationships among these constructs are poorly understood. In this meta-analysis, we examined associations between objective (i.

The influence of proppant size and type on well productivity has been widely studied, but the mechanism of proppant surface wettability on the hydraulic fracture inflow performance has not been thoroughly investigated. To further understand the influence of proppant wettability on fracture inflow performance, in this work, a hydrophobic quartz sand proppant was prepared by a simple dip-coating method using silane solution with a static water contact angle of 136.

The prepared Mn, N co-doped CDs were used as fluorescent nanosensing platforms for the detection of metal ions and biomolecules and were found to be capable of fluorescence detection of tannic acid (TA) and hafnium (Hf) ion at 320, 380, and 480 nm excitation wavelengths with multi-response linear ranges of 0.7 ~ 1.

In recent years, a number of studies have found that Schisandra B (Sch B), as a natural Chinese medicine extract, has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and other biological activities. Based on the above, in this study, mice were used to conduct an in vivo experiment to investigate the effect and mechanism of Sch B on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced endometritis.

To meet the growing clinical demand, a scalable production technology which can efficiently produce high-quality products is required. We have developed a synthetic biology strategy to generate HEK293-based cell lines which have integrated essential AAV and adenoviral helper genes and are capable of producing rAAV upon induction.

In this paper, we firstly design near-infrared solid-state tunable/switchable single-/dual-band bandpass Fabry-Perot (F-P) filters based on VO/P4VP composite films using COMSOL software. The simulation results show that the single-passband tunable filter can achieve a continuous thermal tuning range of 19 nm at 1064 nm, the full width at half maxima (FWHM) is 28.

Although the MLS is well characterized, few therapeutic vulnerabilities targeting this program have been identified. Here, we systematically identify the dependency network of mesenchymal-like cancers through an analysis of gene essentiality scores in ~800 cancer cell lines, nominating a poorly studied kinase, PKN2, as a top therapeutic target of the MLS.

Our study aimed to investigate the effect and mechanism of STIM1 on cervical cancer, thus to provide new molecular therapeutic targets for cervical cancer in clinic.
Methods: We collected CIN III, FIGO IB and IIA fresh Specimens without chemotherapy from patients in Renmin Hospital of Hubei University of Medicine (n = 10).
Pharmacologically targeting tumor suppressors necessitates an unprecedented strategy of restoring, rather than conventionally inhibiting, protein function, and p53, the most commonly mutated protein in cancer, has thus remained undruggable. In this study, we address long-standing misconceptions in the field and gaps in the scientific logic for a p53 function-restoration strategy, identify four barriers for drugging mutant p53, and accordingly propose effectiveness evaluation criteria, clinical-translating norms, and prospects for mutant p53 rescue compounds.

Conventional phototherapeutic devices are bulky and limited to hospital use. To overcome these challenges, we developed a wearable, flexible red and blue LED (r&bLED) patch controlled by a mobile-connected system, enabling safe self-application at home.

Inhibition of integrin αvβ6 is a promising approach to the treatment of fibrotic disease such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Screening a small library combining head groups that stabilize the bent-closed conformation of integrin αIIbβ3 with αv integrin binding motifs resulted in the identification of hit compounds that bind the bent-closed conformation of αvβ6. Crystal structures of these compounds bound to αvβ6 and related integrins revealed opportunities to increase potency and selectivity, and these efforts were accelerated using accurate free energy perturbation (FEP+) calculations.

Methods: 872 patients with PMN finished CNIs or CTX-based therapy between 2003 and 2018 from three centers in China were followed up at most to 120 months. A propensity-score matched (PSM) method was used to analyze the difference of outcomes between those receiving CTX- and CNIs-based therapy.
Background: Evidence has been presented that the tumor protein D52 (TPD52) family plays a critical role in tumor development and progression. As a member of the TPD52 family, the changes in TPD52L2 gene status are instrumental in kinds of cancer development. However, its effects on patient prognosis and immune infiltration in Head and Neck Squamous Carcinoma (HNSCC) are still poorly understood.
