Four new coordination polymers based on 5-(((1H-imidazol-2-yl)methyl)amino) isophthalic acid (HL) and auxiliary ligands (1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2'-bipyridine, and 4,4'-bipyridine), namely, {[Zn(HL)(phen)(HO)] ⋅ 2HO} (CP 1), {[Ni(HL)(phen)(HO)]} (CP 2), {[Ni(HL)(2,2'-bpy)(HO)] ⋅ 2HO} (CP 3) and {[Cd(HL)(4,4'-bpy)(HO)] ⋅ 2HO} (CP 4) were rationally assembled. Furthermore, these four CPs were screened as heterogeneous catalysts for CO cycloaddition and cyanosilylation reactions under mild conditions. The catalytic experiments showed that CP 1 had the better catalytic performance, excellent substrate tolerance and recyclability for the above two reactions.

Gut microbiota plays a crucial role in maintaining host homeostasis, impacting the progression and therapeutic outcomes of diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, hepatic conditions, obesity, cardiovascular pathologies, and neurologic disorders, via immune, neural, and metabolic mechanisms. Hence, the gut microbiota is a promising target for disease therapy. Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) secondary to acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a rare disease with poor prognosis, usually attributed to delayed diagnosis. Two two-dimensional (2D) layered metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), namely, {[Yb()(HO)NO]·2HO} (Yb-MOF) and [Er()(HO)Cl] (Er-MOF) (H = 5-((6-purin-6-yl)amino)isophthalic acid), were constructed by a solvothermal method and characterized. The catalytic performance study showed that the Yb-MOF could efficiently catalyze the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides under 15 W light-emitting diode (LED) blue light irradiation. Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and free-radical trapping experiments demonstrated that the photocatalytic reaction process involved O, and the corresponding mechanism was proposed.

In this study, 16 new compounds, six bibenzyls (1-6) and 10 naphthalenes (7-13), including three pairs of naphthalene enantiomers and three known compounds (14-16), were isolated from Dendrobium chrysanthum. Structurally, compounds 1-5 are previously undescribed dimeric bibenzyls, uniquely linked by unusual carbon bonds. The structures of the compounds were determined using spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.

Hyperactivity of coagulation is common in exertional heatstroke (EHS). Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is the most severe form of coagulation dysfunction and associated with poor outcome. DIC, temperature and Glasgow coma scale score were identified as independent risk factors for in-hospital mortality by multivariate logistic regression analysis, and we developed a nomogram for predicting in-hospital mortality in a 13-year EHS patient cohort.

FePO (FP) particles with a mesoporous structure amalgamated by nanoscale primary crystals were controllably prepared using an ultrasound-intensified turbulence T-junction microreactor (UTISR). Three novel Co-based coordination polymers including {[Co(L)(μ-O)]} (1), {[Co(L)(bimb)]} (2) and {[Co(L)(bimmb)]} (3) (HL = 2,6-di(4-carboxylphenyl)-4-(4-(triazol-1-ylphenyl))pyridine), bimb = 1,4-bis(lmidazol) butane, bimmb = 1,4-bis(imidazole-1-ylmethyl)benzene) were successfully prepared under solvothermal conditions and characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that 1 possesses a 3D architecture composed of a trinuclear cluster [CoN(CO)(μ-O)], 2 exhibits a 2D new topological framework with the point symbol (8·12)(8), whereas 3 shows a unique six-fold interpenetrated 3D framework with a (6·8·10)(6)(8) topology. Impressively, all of them can function as a highly selective and sensitive fluorescent sensor for the biomarker methylmalonic acid (MMA) via fluorescence quenching.

Five new lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs), namely {[Ln(L)]·Cl}, [Ln = Pr(1), Nd(2), Eu(3), Ho(4), Ce(5)], based on a benzimidazole carboxylic acid ligand [HL = 2-(2-carboxyphenyl)-1-benzo[d]imidazole-6-carboxylic acid] were synthesized by a solvothermal method. Ln-MOFs 1-5 have the same two-dimensional layered structures. Interestingly, 1-5 exhibit excellent adsorption performance to anionic dye Congo red (CR), with adsorption capacities of 2724 mg g, 2719 mg g, 2718 mg g, 327 mg g, and 2273 mg g, respectively.
