The novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has exposed vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, to an unprecedented public health crisis. According to recent data, pregnancy in COVID-19 patients is associated with increased hospitalization, admission to the intensive care unit (ICU) and intubation. It has been suggested that pregnancy induced immune responses and cardiorespiratory changes can exaggerate the course of the COVID-19.

Intraoperative search for the sentinal node using patent blue is considered a non risk procedure. We emphasize the highly exceptional nature of this adverse effect previously observed in other disciplines using this coloring agent. We present a case of allergic reaction to patent blue in a patient who underwent left mastectomy with sentinel lymph node.

The aim of this study was to assess the quality of the anaesthetic technique applied for ECT by comparing two products: propofol and etomidate.
