The development of a sensitive ELISA for the measurement of quail IgY (QIgY) was the main purpose of our study. The suitable antibody (AB) was prepared in rabbits. Both quail IgY (QIgY) and hen IgY (HIgY) were precipitated by this developed AB.

Fluphenazine-4-chlorophenoxy-isobutyrate ester, a new phenothiazine derivative was synthesized in the Institute for Drug Research Budapest. Radioimmunoassay was developed for the therapeutic monitoring of the drug level after intramuscular depot injection. The fluphenazine hapten was coupled to BSA by mixed-anhydride method.

Similar measurements were carried out in 20 piglets of 2 litters up to 24 hours of age and in sows; the latter within a period of 3 days before and 3 days after parturition. The average T3 concentration in the fetus was 0.
