[Evaluation of vibration exposure long-term effects in people with diagnosed vibration syndrome].

Background: Long-term exposure to hand-transmitted vibration can increase the occurrence of symptoms and signs of vascular neurological and musculoskeletal disorders of the upper extremities. The most common is the angioneurotic type of the vibration syndrome. Very little is known about possibility of withdrawal of symptoms after exposure cessation.

The prevalence and risk factors for occupational voice disorders in teachers.

Objective: Occupational voice disorders in Poland account for over 25% of all occupational diseases. The aim of the study was to assess the prevalence of voice problems in the general population of Polish teachers, and identify risk factors for developing voice pathology.

Patients And Methods: The study group comprised 425 female full-time teachers (most of them primary and secondary school, age ranging from 23 to 61 years) and 83 non-teacher women (control) whose jobs did not involve vocal effort, matched for age to the study group.

[Evaluation of the usefulness of laryngeal vocal efficiency tests during noise load for diagnosing occupational diseases of the larynx in teachers].

A growing incidence of the voice organ occupational diseases has recently become one of major health problems. There is a need to objective diagnostic examinations performed in teachers who apply for occupational disease certification. The aim of our study was to assess the feasibility of larynx vocal efficiency test during noise load in diagnosis of the voice organ occupational diseases in teachers.
