Monitoring and observation over the surface of the Earth have been a matter of global interest. In this path, recent efforts aim to develop a spatial mission to perform remote sensing applications. Mainly, CubeSat nanosatellites have emerged as a standard for developing low-weight and small-sized instruments.

Agricultural intensification and shifts in precipitation regimes due to global climate change are expected to increase nutrient concentrations in aquatic ecosystems. However, the direct effects of nutrients widely present in wastewaters, such as nitrate, are poorly studied. Here, we use multiple indicators of fish health to experimentally test the effects of three ecologically relevant nitrate concentrations (<10, 50 and 250 mg NO3-/l) on wild-collected mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki), a species widely introduced for mosquito biocontrol in often eutrophic waters.

The effects of stimulating environments on the neural plasticity of the adult brain have been well explored; however, how an enriched environment (EE) affects the mother-fetus interaction is poorly understood. We hypothesized that an enriched environment restricted to pregnancy will succeed in accelerating the development of sensory and motor circuits in the offspring. Pregnant Wistar rats were maintained either under a standard condition - two animals per standard cage- or an enriched environment - eight subjects in larger cages with different physical configurations-.

The asymmetric unit in the title compound, C24H26N2O3, comprises two independent mol-ecules (A and B). In molecule A, the central 2-hydroxyphenyl ring is inclined to the mean plane of the major component of the imidazolidine ring by 84.52 (14)°, and by 68.

In the title compound, C24H25ClN2O2, the 2-hy-droxy-benzyl substituents and the 2-chloro-phenyl group occupy the sterically preferred equatorial positions, whereas the methyl group occupies the axial position. The imidazolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation with one of the N atoms adjacent to the methylene group as the flap. The chloro-phenyl substit-uent approaches a nearly perpendicular orientation relative to the mean plane of the imidazolidine ring, making a dihedral angle of 73.
