Purpose: To describe three cases of keratitis following Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT).

Observations: Three females with a history of glaucoma presented with corneal edema, keratitis (endothelial, epithelial) and decreased visual acuity shortly after SLT. There was variable resolution of symptoms after starting treatment with oral antiherpetics and topical steroids.

Purpose: To determine whole-eye high-order aberrations (HOAs) in pseudophakic eyes after Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK) for Fuchs dystrophy, and to establish relationships between graft thickness, HOAs, and visual acuity.

Design: Cross-sectional study.

Methods: Whole-eye HOAs were measured in pseudophakic eyes at intervals through 24 months after DSEK, and in otherwise healthy pseudophakic control eyes implanted with the same type of spherical intraocular lens.

We report the case of a young man who presented with bilateral third nerve palsies without pupillary involvement. Brain MRI demonstrated lesions in the region of the oculomotor nerves, and further evaluation led to the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Our case documents a rare initial clinical presentation of this demyelinating disease.

Purpose: To determine the effect of corneal transplantation for Fuchs' dystrophy and of recipient age on the large- and small-angle domains of the retinal point-spread function.

Methods: Retinal stray light (large-angle domain) and the full-width-at-half-maximum intensity of the point-spread function (50% width, small-angle domain) were measured in 40 pseudophakic eyes after keratoplasty (Descemet stripping with endothelial keratoplasty [DSEK], 30 eyes; penetrating keratoplasty [PK], 10 eyes) for Fuchs' dystrophy and in 30 otherwise normal pseudophakic eyes. Correlations were assessed between the optical variables, high-contrast visual acuity (HCVA), and recipient age, and variables were compared between groups by using generalized estimating equation models.

A 60-year-old man with worsening Graves ophthalmopathy complained of complete loss of vision in the left eye on upgaze ("gaze-evoked amaurosis" [GEA]). Examination disclosed congestive orbital signs bilaterally. Upon upgaze, intraocular rose from 18 to 35 mm Hg in the left eye and visual acuity fell in that eye from 20/25 to no light perception.

Purpose: We report the occurrence and outcome of a severe late-onset traumatic dislocation of a laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) flap with loss of central flap tissue.

Methods: Case report.

Results: A 40-year-old woman underwent uncomplicated bilateral LASIK surgery, followed 5 years later by an enhancement procedure in both eyes.

Background: Because of their broad-spectrum coverage, fluoroquinolone antibiotics are widely used in the treatment of acute sinusitis and acute exacerbations of chronic sinusitis. Generally, they are well tolerated, and adverse effects are usually mild. In our experience with quinolones, patients have frequently complained of arthralgias and/or myalgias.
