Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a condition characterized by elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) of unknown etiology, more prevalent in obese women of childbearing age. The management of IIH during pregnancy represents a multidisciplinary challenge, as medical treatment is contentious due to the foetal teratogenic risk, and the technically challenging placement of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt is hindered by the presence of the pregnant uterus. The goal of anaesthetic management during childbirth is to maintain hemodynamic stability, cerebral perfusion pressure, and cerebral tissue oxygenation, while avoiding abrupt fluctuations in intracranial pressure.

The aim of the study is to assess and compare the effect of a multimodal prehabilitation program on functional capacity in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AoS) and severe mitral regurgitation (MR) proposed for valve replacement surgery.
Methods: Secondary analysis from a randomised controlled trial whose main objective was to analyze the efficacy of a 4-6 weeks multimodal prehabilitation program in cardiac surgery on reducing postoperative complications.

Introduction: Colorectal cancer (CRC) ranks as the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths. The PREHAB trial revealed that prehabilitation in colorectal surgery leads to a reduction of severe complications and enhanced functional capacity. (2) Methods: This single-center, ambispective cohort study included forty-six candidates for elective heart transplantation from 2017 to 2021 attending a multimodal prehabilitation program consisting of supervised exercise training, physical activity promotion, nutritional optimization, and psychological support. The postoperative course was compared to a control cohort consisting of patients transplanted from 2014 to 2017 and those contemporaneously not involved in prehabilitation.

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a rare medical emergency associated with the use of antipsychotics and other antidopaminergic drugs. There is no specific test, and diagnosis is based on high clinical suspicion and good differential diagnosis. A clinical picture consistent with hyperthermia, muscle rigidity, altered level of consciousness, together with signs of rhabdomyolysis in analytical studies and a history of taking neuroleptic drugs are the key elements in the detection of this entity.

The aim of this work is to assess health professionals' perception of the phenomenon, as well as their capability to apply psychological first aid.
Material And Methods: Observational descriptive study through online surveys answered anonymously.
Background: Viscoelastic test-guided coagulation management has become increasingly important in assessing hemostasis. We developed Visual Clot, an animated, 3D blood clot that illustrates raw rotational thromboelastometry (ROTEM) parameters in a user-centered and situation awareness-oriented method.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the applicability of Visual Clot by examining its effects on users that are novices in viscoelastic-guided resuscitation.
Introduction: Prehabilitation programmes that combine exercise training, nutritional support and emotional reinforcement (multimodal prehabilitation) have demonstrated efficacy reducing postoperative complications in the context of abdominal surgery. However, such programmes have seldom been studied in cardiac surgery, one of the surgeries associated with higher postoperative morbidity and mortality. This trial will assess the feasibility and efficacy in terms of reduction of postoperative complications and cost-effectiveness of a multimodal prehabilitation programme comparing to the standard of care in cardiac surgical patients.
