Article Synopsis
  • Daylily (Hemerocallis citrina) is an important vegetable and medicinal plant in China, but little is known about its pathogens, particularly fungal infections.
  • In April 2023, 20% of daylily seedlings in Dazhou city showed leaf spot symptoms, prompting researchers to isolate and identify the responsible fungi.
  • Two types of fungal isolates were identified, exhibiting similar growth characteristics, and their genetic material was sequenced to confirm their identities, contributing to the understanding of daylily pathogens.

A family of air-stable (phenylbuta-1,3-diynyl)palladium(II) complexes were designed and prepared in a facile synthetic procedure. Their structures were characterized by (1)H and (13)C NMR, MS, and X-ray analysis. These Pd complexes were revealed to efficiently initiate the polymerization of phenyl isocyanides in a living/controlled chain growth manner, which led to the formation of poly(phenyl isocyanide)s with controlled molecular weights and narrow molecular weight distributions.
