The role of serum acylcarnitine profiling for the detection of multiple solid tumors in humans.

Metabolic reprogramming is an essential hallmark of cancer. Several studies have reported the dysregulation of acylcarnitine (ACar) metabolism in tumor cells, suggesting that changes in the blood ACar may be related to tumor growth. Accordingly, this study aimed to understand the alteration of serum ACar profiles in various solid tumors and explore the potential of differential serum ACars as diagnostic biomarkers.
