Environmental pollution has aggravated the climate change issues posing unusual challenges to the survival and growth of humanity, including extreme weather, loss of species, and sustainability of the ecosystem in developing countries. Unlike previous studies, this paper adds new dimension to the literature by incorporating corruption into agriculture production-environment nexus. This study adds new dimension to the literature by examining corruption, agriculture, and renewable energy on CO emissions.

The growth of China's OFDI (outward foreign direct investment) is a unique feature of the "Belt and Road" project. Does China's OFDI have a green halo effect on countries along the Belt and Road (B&R)? Is this green halo effect somehow asymmetrical? What is the underlying mechanism? This paper systematically examines how China's OFDI exerts its influence on green technology spillovers, based on 56 B&R countries' 2003-2019 panel data. This study makes three significant findings: Firstly, China's OFDI has positive asymmetric characteristics in promoting green technology spillovers to host countries mentioned, which have lower income levels and openness.

This study mainly investigates 14 Asia Pacific economies' environmental efficiency. Departing from previous studies ignoring environmental technology heterogeneity, we evaluate environmental efficiency through metafrontier super epsilon based model (EBM). We compare environmental efficiency convergence across different regions via unit root test and truncated regressions.

China's seaborne foreign oil supply through the Malacca Strait is facing security challenges due to territorial disputes, pirate attacks, and geopolitics. To overcome these challenges, China plans to import oil through one of the corridors of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)-the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This study estimated and compared ship emissions and their externalities associated with seaborne oil supply from the top five oil suppliers to China through the existing shipping route via the Malacca Strait and proposed route via CEPC.

Trade openness is one of the main channels of globalization and technological transfers. In environmental economic literature, the implications of trade openness remain controversial and still could be potential drivers of carbon dioxide emissions. This study therefore explores the effect of trade openness in developed countries using EU-18 economies.

In late 2019, a novel infectious disease with human to human transmission (COVID-19) was identified in Wuhan China, which now has turned into a global pandemic. Countries all over the world have implemented some sort of lockdown to slow down its infection and mitigate it. Lockdown due to COVID-19 has drastic effects on social and economic fronts.

We conduct the influencing factor model on behavioral intention and behavior toward EFA food by extending TPB model with the theory of public environmental policy and perceived value and trust. The empirical analysis revealed that public environmental policy and subjective norm positively affect behavioral intention and behavior for purchasing EFA food.

In order to help enterprises make the optimal green investment decision, firstly, this paper constructs a duopoly competition game model based on the manufacturer's limited rationality. Then, the Nash equilibrium solution of the system is discussed by using the reverse induction method.

Thermal power plants are the main source of carbon dioxide emissions in China. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and their neighborhood provinces are the most polluted regions in China. Environmental efficiencies of 528 thermal power plants were evaluated through metafrontier epsilon-based measure, which aimed to overcome the invalid inferences of radial or non-radial model.

Environmental efficiency of hotel sector considering technology heterogeneity is mainly analyzed across different regions of China from 2000 to 2013. Metafrontier global Malmquist-Luenberger (ML) is implemented to evaluate environmental efficiency of hotel sector.

This study mainly compares the different effects of export and import on CO emissions across 7 ASEAN countries over 1990-2017. In addition, we investigate how technological innovation affects carbon emissions.

Mitigations from innovation perspective have mainly been focused on the role of patent, ignoring the role of trademarks. We therefore investigate the mitigating power of patent and trademarks in the OECD economies, benchmarking patent as the traditional mitigation strategy.

Economic growth and economic energy consumption have received greater attention due to its contribution to global CO emissions in recent decades. The literature on CO emissions and innovation for regional differences is very scanty as there is not enough study that considered different regions in a single analysis. We adopt a holistic approach by incorporating different regions so as to assess how innovation contributes to emission reduction.

In China, agriculture produces the greatest chemical oxygen demand (COD) emissions in wastewater and the most methane (CH) emissions. It is imperative that agricultural pollution in China be reduced. This study investigated the influencing factors of the CO emission intensity of Chinese agriculture from 1997 to 2014.
