So far, little is known about the enzymatic basis of the glycosylation of phenolamides including dicaffeoylspermidine. Here, we identify five lycibarbarspermidine glycosyltransferases, LbUGT1-5, which are the first phenolamide-type glycosyltransferases and catalyze regioselective glycosylation of dicaffeoylspermidines to form structurally diverse lycibarbarspermidines in wolfberry.

In this article, the global event-triggered (ET) funnel tracking control problem is studied for a class of switched nonlinear systems with structural uncertainties, where the solvability of the control problem for each subsystem is not needed. A switching multiple Lyapunov functions (MLFs) method is established, where MLFs are designed to handle switched inverse dynamics, and a switching barrier Lyapunov function is constructed to address switched sampled errors that may compromise system stability. This is achieved alongside a new switching dynamic event-triggering mechanism (DETM).

We have previously shown that phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibition protects against neuronal injury in rats following middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R). However, the effects of PDE4 on brain edema and astrocyte swelling are unknown. In this study, we showed that inhibition of PDE4 by Roflumilast (Roflu) reduced brain edema and brain water content in rats subjected to MCAO/R.

1,8-Cineole is a bicyclic monoterpene widely distributed in the essential oils of various medicinal plants, and it exhibits significant anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. We aimed to investigate the therapeutic effect of 1,8-cineole on anti-Alzheimer's disease by using transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans models. Our studies demonstrated that 1,8-cineole significantly relieved Aβ-induced paralysis and exhibited remarkable antioxidant and anti-Aβ aggregation activities in transgenic nematodes CL4176, CL2006 and CL2355.

The deficiency in available targeted agents and frequency of chemoresistance are primary challenges in clinical management of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The aberrant expression of USP21 and JAK2 represents a characterized mechanism of TNBC progression and resistance to paclitaxel (PTX). Despite its clear that high expression of USP21-mediated de-ubiquitination leads to increased levels of JAK2 protein, we lack regulator molecules to dissect the mechanisms that the interaction between USP21 and JAK2 contributes to the phenotype and resistance of TNBC.

Methods: Fifty-four NPC patients were enrolled and underwent at least three IVIM MR scans: before (pre-RT), after 5 fractions of (5th-RT), halfway through (mid-RT), and after RT (post-RT).
