Background: Hepatectomy is the primary treatment for regional hepatolithiasis, but recurrence rates range from 10 to 20%, often necessitating repeat surgery. Although laparoscopic hepatectomy has been widely adopted for recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma, its use in recurrent hepatolithiasis remains limited due to technical challenges, including severe adhesions, anatomical distortions, and increased risks of complications. No large-scale study has compared laparoscopic and open repeat hepatectomy for recurrent regional hepatolithiasis.

Clinical prediction models have gained attention for predicting HBV-related HCC (HBV-HCC). This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of existing models for HBV-HCC through meta-analysis.

It accurately achieved patient-level classification task of benign and malignant thyroid nodules based on ultrasound images from two scanning angles: long axis and short axis of the thyroid site. In the first stage, 68,208 ultrasound scanning images of 588 patients are used to train the underlying classification model.

However, the responsible enzymes for the acylation of macrocyclic diterpenoids remain unknown. We identified two macrocyclic diterpenoid O-acyltransferases, ElBAHD16 and ElBAHD35, from the diterpene biosynthetic gene cluster of Euphorbia lathyris.

In Exp. 1, 24 multiparous Landrace × Yorkshire (LY) sows (parity 3 to 5) were allotted to a replicated 12 × 3 Youden square design consisting of 12 diets and 3 periods.

Herein, we report the synthesis, structure, magnetic, and proton-conducting properties of a hydrogen-bonded cobalt(II) organosulfonate complex. The coordination self-assembly of Co salts and 8-quinolinesulfonic acid ligands affords a mononuclear Co sulfonate featuring both coordinated and noncoordinated sulfonic acid O atoms and axial coordinated water molecules.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients treated at our institute were included. According to whether sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitor was used in drug treatment, the patients were divided into SGLT2i group and control group, and propensity score matching was performed.

This study investigates the antifibrotic and hepatoprotective properties of fluorofenidone (AKF-PD) using a 3D tissue-engineered model. A 3D in vitro liver fibrosis model was developed using decellularized rat liver scaffolds seeded with hepatocytes, hepatic stellate cells (HSCs), and sinusoidal endothelial cells to replicate the multicellular liver microenvironment.

However, current assessments of bats' antibiotic resistance potential are limited to culture-dependent bacterial snapshots. In this study, we present metagenomic evidence supporting a strong association between diet, gut microbiota, and the resistome, highlighting bats as significant vectors for ARG propagation.

Realizing high-visibility HOM interference with massively parallel optical channels is challenging due to the lack of available natural optical references for aligning independent arrayed laser pairs. Here, we demonstrate 50 parallel comb-teeth pairs of continuous-wave weak coherent photons HOM interference using two independently frequency post-aligned soliton microcombs (SMCs), achieving an average fringe visibility over 46%.

Methods: Clinical data were retrieved for patients undergoing primary tumor resection and neck dissection from June 2020 to August 2024. Based on the risk factors screened by Lasso regression, we established four candidate models: logistic regression, random forest, support vector machine, and XGboost.

In practical engineering applications, the vibration is often generated in various directions and can be harmful to the engineering equipment. Thus, it is necessary to develop vibration isolators that can reduce vibration in multiple directions. In this paper, we propose a planar two-dimensional vibration isolator based on compliant mechanisms.

The elusive mechanisms of tissue damage in MODS and limited therapeutic options encourage us to seek effective therapies to MODS. PANoptosis has recently been proven to be the key player in both heat stress and sepsis-mediated MODS.

This study aimed to investigate the acceptability of wedge resection as an alternative to segmentectomy in patients with T1aN0M0 NSCLC with data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.
Methods: A total of 742 patients with pT1aN0M0 NSCLC from the SEER database were finally involved in this study, including 130 patients in the segmentectomy group and 612 patients in the wedge resection group.
Background: Fear of missing out (FoMO) is a new type of anxiety disorder in the context of the Internet, which has a negative effects on the physical and mental health and behavior of college students, such as Internet addiction, non-adaptive socializing, and negative emotions. In order to investigate the effect of relative deprivation (RD) on FoMO of college students, this study conducted a moderated mediation model to examine the relationship between RD, FoMO, self-regulatory fatigue (SRF), and personal belief in a just world (BJW).
Methods: A total of 956 college students were surveyed on a RD Questionnaire, SRF Scale, FoMO Scale, and Personal BJW Scale.
WRKY transcription factors (TFs) play pivotal roles in regulating plant nutrient uptake, particularly phosphate (Pi) acquisition, and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. Euphorbia lathyris, a significant medicinal plant with diverse pharmacological activities, lacks a systematic analysis of WRKY members and their functional roles. In this study, 58 ElWRKY genes were identified in the E.
