To compare the efficacy and safety of 150 IU versus 100 IU daily hCG supplementation from stimulation day 6 in women aged ≥ 35 years undergoing fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI). In this retrospective cohort study, we analyzed data from 438 patients aged ≥ 35 years undergoing IVF at a single center.

Introduction: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare the efficacy of extended supplementation (≥6 weeks) with natural compounds or extracts in improving cognitive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted across Cochrane, PubMed, PsycARTICLES, Scopus, and Web of Science databases from inception to April 10, 2024. Eligible studies were randomized controlled trials evaluating cognitive outcomes in patients with MCI or AD using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive Subscale (ADAS-Cog).

Methods: This retrospective cohort study analyzed 447 POSEIDON group 4 patients who underwent IVF at a single center. Patients were categorized into GnRH-ant (n = 281) and PPOS (n = 166) groups.

The utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy has witnessed significant progress and promising results in recent years worldwide. From 2019 to 2023, the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy has released multiple guidelines/consensus with recommendations on integrating AI for detecting and classifying lesions in practical endoscopy. In Vietnam, since 2019, several preliminary studies have been conducted to develop AI algorithms for GI endoscopy, focusing on lesion detection.

This paper aims to evaluate the navigational risk of ferry transport by a continuous risk management matrix (CRMM) based on the fuzzy Best-Worst Method (BMW). Background And Aim: We aimed to evaluate the application of Peptest, a novel technique to detect pepsin in the saliva, and identify its threshold level for the diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with extraesophageal symptoms.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in two groups: patients with extraesophageal GERD symptoms (symptomatic group divided into GERD and non-GERD groups according to 24-h esophageal pH-impedance monitoring [pH-I] results) and healthy controls. A framework for controllable Pareto front learning with completed scalarization functions and its applications.

Pareto Front Learning (PFL) was recently introduced as an efficient method for approximating the entire Pareto front, the set of all optimal solutions to a Multi-Objective Optimization (MOO) problem. In the previous work, the mapping between a preference vector and a Pareto optimal solution is still ambiguous, rendering its results. This study demonstrates the convergence and completion aspects of solving MOO with pseudoconvex scalarization functions and combines them into Hypernetwork in order to offer a comprehensive framework for PFL, called Controllable Pareto Front Learning.

Distribution and 24-hour transition of SCAI shock stages and their association with 30-day mortality in acute myocardial infarction.

The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) shock classification has been shown to predict mortality in acute myocardial infarction (AMI). However, data on the transition of SCAI stages and their association with mortality after AMI are limited. All patients with AMI admitted to Vietnam National Heart Institute between August 2022 and February 2023 were classified into SCAI stages A, B, and C/D/E at admission and were reevaluated in 24 hours.

Background: Thoracic duct (TD) stenting is considered a treatment option for certain pathological conditions caused by TD obstruction, such as chyluria. Several studies have reported on the efficacy of TD stent treatment for both obstructive and leakage condition of TD, but few have evaluated the stent patency. This report aims to describe the patency of TD stent and the effectiveness of renal-lymphatic fistula embolization in the treatment of chyluria.

Effectiveness of using a patient education mobile application to improve the quality of bowel preparation: a randomised controlled trial.

Aims: To determine the effectiveness of a mobile application (app) in improving the quality of bowel preparation for colonoscopy.

Method: An endoscopist-blinded randomised controlled trial enrolled patients who were undergoing a colonoscopy on the same day of bowel preparation. The intervention used a Vietnamese mobile app that provides instructions on bowel preparation while patients in the comparison group received conventional instructions.
