This monocentric retrospective study explored the association between UPFs, obesity and adiposity measurements among adults living with obesity in Southern Italy.
Methods: According to their Body Mass Index (BMI) values, 175 participants (63M) were recruited and stratified into three groups.

Deep large sized ALTs of the thigh can cause significant functional impairment due to their mass effect. This disease causes menstrual, metabolic, and biochemical abnormalities such as hyperandrogenism, oligo-anovulatory menstrual cycles, polycystic ovary, hyperleptinemia, insulin resistance (IR), and cardiometabolic disorders, often associated with overweight or obesity and visceral adiposity.
Recent Findings: The etiology and pathophysiology of PCOS are not yet fully understood, but insulin seems to play a key role in this disease.
The diagnosis of Kawasaki disease (KD) is challenging and often delayed mainly in case of young infants and in presence of an incomplete disease and atypical features. Facial nerve palsy is one of the rare neurologic symptoms of KD, associated with a higher incidence of coronary arteries lesions and may be an indicator of a more severe disease. Here, we describe a case of lower motor neuron facial nerve palsy complicating KD and perform an extensive literature review to better characterize clinical features and treatment of patients with KD-associated facial nerve palsy.

Case Series: This article describes two cases of hip arthritis, treated with hip replacement, in patients using bisphosphonates for a long time; in both cases an incomplete atypical femoral fracture was misdiagnosed before the surgery. Authors describe the importance to carry out a complete osteometabolic and radiographic pre-operative examination of patients in treatment with bisphosphonates going to hip replacement, to check the possible presence of incomplete atypical femoral fracture and to optimize surgical and pharmacological treatment.

Both phenotypes are characterized by significant global developmental delay/intellectual disability, hypotonia, genital abnormalities, and patellar hypoplasia/agenesis. In addition, congenital heart defects, dental abnormalities, hearing loss, and thyroid anomalies are common to both phenotypes.
