Background: The use of IV insulin infusions in the acute management of hypertriglyceridemia has only been evaluated in small observational studies and case reports.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of IV insulin infusions in the acute management of hypertriglyceridemia.

Methods: This was a retrospective chart review of adult patients who received an IV insulin infusion for the acute management of hypertriglyceridemia.
