With limited understanding of nonadherence and its impacts on care outcomes, this study aimed to explore the reasons and factors associated with nonadherence in an integrated diabetic limb salvage (DLS) programme and evaluate its effects on care outcomes. This study included 2798 DFU patients who were enrolled in an integrated DLS programme across multiple institutions in central and northern Singapore from 2020 to 2021.

In cardiomyocytes, transverse tubules (T-tubules) are sarcolemmal invaginations that facilitate excitation-contraction coupling and diastolic function. The clinical significance of T-tubules has become evident in that their remodelling is recognised as a hallmark feature of heart failure (HF) and a key contributor to disrupted Ca homeostasis, compromised cardiac function, and arrhythmogenesis. Further investigations have revealed that T-tubule remodelling is particularly pronounced in HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), but not in HF with preserved ejection fraction, implying that T-tubule remodelling may play a crucial pathophysiologic role in HFrEF.

Recently, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in Sphynx cats has been associated with a variant in the gene encoding Alström syndrome protein 1 (ALMS1). The primary aims of this study were to describe the prevalence of HCM in Sphynx cats in New Zealand, and to assess the association between HCM and the ALMS1 variant in this population. In this prospective study, 55 apparently healthy Sphynx cats from registered Sphynx breeders and pet owners in New Zealand were screened by a cardiologist.

Background: Deep venous outflow (VO) may be an important surrogate marker of collateral blood flow in acute ischemic stroke patients with a large vessel occlusion (AIS-LVO). CCC is relatively more resistant to conventional chemotherapy compared to other ovarian cancer subtypes and is associated with a poorer prognosis.

However, there is a lack of relevant models to elucidate the neuropathology of EV-A71 and its mechanism, as the current models mainly utilize animal models or immortalized cell lines. Diabetic Foot in Primary and Tertiary (DEFINITE) Care is an inter-institutional, multidisciplinary team (MDT) program for patients with diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) within a healthcare cluster in Singapore. This is one of our subgroup analyses within DEFINITE Care, assessing clinical outcomes of lower extremity amputation prevention program (LEAPP), a multidisciplinary diabetic foot clinic, and non-LEAPP patients within the program. From June 2020 to June 2022, 2798 patients within the DEFINITE cohort completed a minimum of 12-month follow up.
