- Analysis of RYGB procedures showed that primary RYGB had shorter operative times and significantly better weight loss outcomes compared to revisional RYGB, while hospitalization and complication rates were similar for both groups.
- Despite better weight loss results for primary RYGB, revisional RYGB is still considered safe and effective with comparable short-term outcomes.
