Background: Most studies on pelvic floor muscle morphology (dimensions, shape) and its relationship with patient characteristic risk factors of pelvic floor dysfunction (demographics, medical history) have largely pertained to White individuals with vaginas. There is a need to establish normative data on pelvic floor muscle anatomy and identify morphological differences in racially diverse cohorts that may play a role in racial differences in the prevalence and pathophysiology of pelvic floor dysfunction.

Objective: (s): This study aimed to compare levator ani muscle thickness and levator hiatal morphology and their association with patient characteristics, between asymptomatic Black and White women-identifying individuals with a vagina of reproductive age.

A Retrospective Validation of the HEAR Score.

Studies have proposed the history, electrocardiogram, age, risk factors (HEAR) score to risk-stratify patients with chest pain in the emergency department. This paper assessed the utility of the HEAR score for ambulatory patients with chest pain. The findings demonstrate patients with low and high HEAR scores can be safely managed in the outpatient setting.

Achieving and Maintaining Excellence: A Roadmap for Ultrasound Practices.

This article outlines a roadmap to achieving and maintaining excellence in an ultrasound (US) practice. We present constructive advice on how US practices can achieve and maintain quality, patient and referring physician satisfaction, and efficiency in the setting of rising examination volumes. Accreditation, sonographer and resident/fellow physician training, advanced practice sonographers, and Picture Archiving and Communication System/Artificial Intelligence in US are discussed.

Voters distrust delayed election results, but a prebunking message inoculates against distrust.

Counting and certifying election results in the United States can take days and even weeks following election day. These delays are often linked to distrust in elections but does delay distrust? What can election officials do to counteract distrust if counting most ballots and announcing results cannot occur on election night? Using a preregistered survey experiment of nearly 10,000 Americans, this article shows that informing voters about longer-than-expected vote counting time induces a large, significant decrease in trust in the election. However, viewing a "prebunking" video in advance of being informed of the delay in results more than makes up for the delay-induced decrease in election trust.

Knowledge and practice of foot self-care behaviours in Irish diabetes patients with high-risk feet.

Background: Diabetic foot disease is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Patients at high risk of developing diabetic foot disease can reduce their risk, however, by practicing appropriate foot self-care behaviours. Despite this fact, and often despite education regarding appropriate foot care, patients frequently engage in risky foot care practices which place them at risk of foot ulceration.

A randomized controlled trial of the Happy, Healthy, Loved personalized text-message program for new parent couples: impact on breastfeeding self-efficacy and mood.

Background: Breastfeeding self-efficacy has been identified as an important influence on breastfeeding outcomes. Among new parent couples, partners are uniquely positioned to be sources of support for developing breastfeeding self-efficacy, yet few breastfeeding programs have attempted to involve partners directly. The purpose of this study was to test the impact of a novel program, Happy, Healthy, Loved, on breastfeeding self-efficacy and maternal mood through emphasizing partner support and actively addressing postpartum-specific stress management in a tailored text message delivery program.

Wildlife conservation strategies focused on one season or population segment may fail to adequately protect populations, especially when a species' habitat preferences vary among seasons, age-classes, geographic regions, or other factors. Conservation of golden eagles (Aquila chrysaetos) is an example of such a complex scenario, in which the distribution, habitat use, and migratory strategies of this species of conservation concern vary by age-class, reproductive status, region, and season. Nonetheless, research aimed at mapping priority use areas to inform management of golden eagles in western North America has typically focused on territory-holding adults during the breeding period, largely to the exclusion of other seasons and life-history groups.

To our knowledge, this study is the first to investigate the potential of conventional radiomics, sophisticated multi-resolution fractal texture features, and different molecular features (MGMT, IDH mutations) as a diagnostic and prognostic tool for prediction of REP from non-REP cases using computational and statistical modeling methods.

Screening for Hereditary Hemochromatosis in Newly Referred Diabetes Mellitus.

Aims: Hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) is the most common inherited disease in European populations. It is particularly common in people of Irish heritage, approximately 2% of whom will be at risk of iron overload as a result of human homoeostatic iron regulator protein () gene mutations. We aimed to evaluate the utility of screening for HH in newly referred patients with DM of Irish heritage in a prospective study.

Central serous chorioretinopathy secondary to intramuscular testosterone therapy.

Summary: A patient treated with intramuscular testosterone replacement therapy for primary hypogonadism developed blurred vision shortly after receiving his testosterone injection. The symptom resolved over subsequent weeks and recurred after his next injection. A diagnosis of central serous chorioretinopathy (CSR) was confirmed following ophthalmology review.
